I was watching something on the news last night about a town here in Australia with lead contamination issues. Apparently they are finding large numbers of birds-honey eaters, and nectar eating parrots dead from the lead. They have also found high lead levels in rainwater tanks. What I am wondering is why these particular birds are the ones affected? Other birds in the same area would be drinking the water, eating the grass etc.... Any ideas?

...when all they eat is grass? (ok, some of them eat special cow feed, but ignore them for a mo)

How come cows are made of protein when all they eat is grass? How come carnivorous animals need to eat protein when vegetarian animals do fine without it?

ive just fought a wolf and a cougar...it was hard but i managed to win....the wolf grabbed my arm in its teeth ...i gouged its eyes until it let go...as it turned i grabbed its tail and began spinning as fast as i could...soon the wolf was flying through the air,,,,colliding with the cougar...as the wolf lay dazed and the cougar tried to stand up...i ran up and kicked the big cat in the nuts....they both ran off crying...has anyone else fought a wolf or a cougar
