Are Painted Lady Butterflies helpful or harmful? If so, in what ways?

Well the larvae eat plants, so depending on who you ask, then they may be harmful, but they are typically adapted to eat only specific species and typically not any economically important species.
The adults are pollinators of various plants, so in that sense they are quite beneficial.
As well, they are preyed opon by other animals, making them a valuable food source in certain regions as well.
