Am I crazy or do I correctly remember there being a study done that showed some differences of animal "languages" within members of the certain domesticated species in the New World vs the Old World? It's been 15-20 years since I finished college/high school but I thought I remembered this fact from maybe a biology or antropology course. Can anybody else remember learning this and/or know the case study?

When flies try to get out of the house through the windows, how come they always hit the glass and never seem to find the gap to get out?
Are they just really dumb or partially blind?....come to think of it, how many eyes do they have?!

Ok.. I just asked the question: "why is it that my cat gets all grumpy and moody when it's really hot outside?" The answers I got told me that it's because of the fur... but I always thought that fur keeps the cold out in winter, but that it also keeps the warmth out in summer... is that true?

Just to clarify...what I mean is I have noticed that very very few people get as excited as I do when I see a Hawk or a Wildflower I havent seen before and I have to find out about it and I mean I have to find out EVERYTHING about it. I often point out things like neat looking bugs to someone near and all I get is oh yeah anyway my boyfriend and I....etc, etc. Why is it that no one questions anymore? Why is it that only very few people are interested in the world around them and learning everything they can about it? I am interested in all your opinions on this.......

To specify I mean if the mask were put on in an early stage before the animal had matured and was left until maturity, when the mask was removed would the face stay in the shape of the mask? The bones and such would conform to the shape if it remained on during growth - or would the face continue to grow and become contorted? If necessary assume the animal to be a homonid.
