I'm thinking about a BA/MD combined program but I'm not sure I'm good enough to study hard and stuff like that, I have graduated high school in Egypt and I had a grade point average of 70%.
some people say don't worry you won't have to study very hard if you go to the college every day.
so what do you say?

I'm sick of people thinking that there are wonder drugs out there who will cure everything. And of people who demand perscriptions for things that can be cured with a little rest and a bowl of soup. Do you think we will ever find a way to stop people from taking medications they do not need? (Note: Nothing against people who actually need their medications, so please don't comment on that.)

Alright, I don't want answers that go "OMGMG WTF U R HOMOPHOBIC DIE U SCUM" or "OMG GO RESEARCH DUMB@SS!!11!"

I'm not being homophobic, fuktard. I'm asking.

I like answers that come with proof. So throw in proof with your answers.

But then, I think 60 Minutes said that the cause is still unknown.

At my university, introduction to biology is one semester long unlike intro bio taught at other universities. Actually, all bio courses are one semester long. I plan to take another biology course in my senior year to fulfill the requirements for med school. However, I know i need to take the MCAT in April or August of my junior year. Is intro bio enough for the MCAT? Or do I need to take two bio courses before taking that?

I really love science! The nervous system and brain fasinates me and I really like watching shows like House and ER. I always get in the "A" range in all my subjects and have never gotten lower than that (my lowest grade was an A- in math, all A+'s in science though). I just think it is really cool to be able to fix people and cut people open. And when I think about being a doctor, I always get a really cool feeling like being in the hospital and scrubbing in to get ready to operate. Could I be a neurosurgeon?
