Contrary to popular belief, your school doesn't lock down and chain up the doors in the summer. go there during a normal day's hours, and there should be someone in the office. If not, the town/city hall will have a place to point you in the right direction.

Just to add to Pyro's response, many schools and districts will operate on reduced hours during the summer. For example, my school is open during normal business hours Monday through Thursday and is closed on Friday.
You may want to call ahead and see what hours your school (or district office) is open.
