In the movies, people get shot in the chest and collapse and die instantly.

But that doesn't make sense, unless the person is hit in the brain or central nervous system. (When people have heart attacks, they don't instantly die.)

So in reality, I want to know how many seconds the brain stays conscious after the heart fails due to gunshot.

I'm prescribed adderall and have noticed that it's effect on me is not nearly as great as it used to be.
I haven't taken it for 3 days now and I expect that I should stop taking it for a while to lower my tolerance. Perhaps a month?

at 35 years old, Graduated from William Paterson University with a major in philosophy, currently study cognative science, understand almost all pyhsics and philosophy theories ad nauseum, have and teach hyper-acclerated learning, astronomy, mathmatics, music theory, geometry etc etc, I dont know everything off the top of my head but there is almost no subject that I cannot understand within in minutes of study. All the while indulging in a buffet table of illegal drugs for most of my life. As a matter of fact I am going to take some LSD 1943 and go to the beach today and tomorrow I will be as fresh and alert as a non drug user. It does not bother me at all, can anti-druggers please explain this?

One would prevent embryos from being harvested solely to get stem cells for research — called “fetal farming”

• The other would encourage research alternatives that do not destroy embryos

The most significant — and most controversial — bill would lift long-standing Bush administration limits on which stem-cell lines can be used in federally funded research. Embryos stored at fertility clinics and otherwise slated for destruction could be brought into the mix.

President Bush is expected to kill the bill with his first veto, one the Republican-controlled Congress apparently lacks the votes to override.
