can science make the sun come from the west instead of coming from the east (to make the earth revolve in a reverse way),,,if yes then it can overcome death....
why dont we believe that there are impossible things...

Not only is something such as overcoming death scientifically unfeasable, it would also be a huge disaster for the world. With the Death Rate approaching 0, and the Birth rate not slowing (and potentially increasing) The world would very soon become even more overpopulated then it is today.

Besides, as Queen once said "Who wants to live forever?"

Not to sound pessimistic, or religious, here (cause my answer could be seen to have religious themes and i don't want to go there) but I feel that SCIENTIFICALLY science will not overcome death.

Nature and the balance of earth's eco-system has always had a means of checks and balances for the overpopulation of species in the means of predators and regular natural disasters. This opens up many possible scenarios.

1.) It is known that the sun has a finite lifespan. Therefore once the sun dies so will life on this planet (and the core of the human race). Solutions to the problem: Move outside of this solar system. Find a means of renewing the sun's energy.

2.) Mathematically, there is a higher probability of a catastrophic meteor or asteroid impact on earth that will cause a mass extinction. Solution: Move outside of this planet. Means of destroying or moving said objects before impact.

3.) Earth-based disasters (i.e. global warming, mass tectonic activity, mass volcanic activity, abnormal weather patterns, naturally induced global warming or climatic changes, evolution of super viruses or viruses that jump species). Solution: The only guess here would be on the lies of "Tarra forming" and advanced medicines or forecasting of said events. Moving off the planet would not remove these possibilities because every planet or astral body we know of has or will have these adversities.

Consider here I have not mentioned ANYTHING about man-made destruction of themselves.

In summary, I can't say that we are "doomed" as a human race. I look at it this way, The modern human race has not been here all that long in relation to other "races" (i.e. species) that are here or have passed on before us. Remember the dinosaurs thrived for hundreds of millions of years before natural disasters took them over.

Science will prolong life and will increase the quality of life, but to have immortality, in my honest opinion, will have to re-unite science and religion again.

I think yes. There are a lof of science fiction theories that doesn't seem to unbelivable now (robot bodies with preserved brains, for example). We can extend our lives till infinity, but resurrection and overcoming violent death is impossible, I guess.

No. In evolutionary standpoint, there are infinite diseases in our genes that can arise as time progresses. Their trigger time is different. For example, before we used to live until 60. At that time, there was no Alzheimer's disease. As science progresses and prolongs people's lives, more diseases will pop up that we havent selected for. Right now, we are only worried about curing atherosclerosis, cancer, etc etc... but who knows what kind of diseases will pop up as we live until we're 120, 130..?

In philosophical standpoint, we cannot have birth and no death. There always has to be a balance in energy as energy cannot be created nor destroyed. There is evil so there is good. there is poverty therefore there are filthy billionaires. we cannot rid of one and expect the opposite to exist. Life is a balance.

New infectious diseases will also arise as time goes. Bacteria and viruses undergo massive mutations. And as we see today, they can turn into more resistant forms (Avian flu, AIDS, penicillin resistant bacteria). It will be a constant battle as we need to develop new ways of targeting these bugs.

In molecular standpoint, let's say we swallow pills of nano robots that can somehow fix our "abnormal" DNA as they see them. How are they going to differentiate between normal apoptosis (programmed cell death essential in life) and cells just dying due to a disease. Also, how are they going to know whether a DNA is different due to differences in individual genomes (such as DNA repetitive fragments) and diseased DNA that are different. There are infinite things we need to consider to make this a perfect technology. and if humans can advance this much, there is no question they can create life with mere atoms of carbons, hydrogens, etc.

I definitely hope not!!!!!!! And it's not just because I am catholic, but can you imagine yourself being a thousand plus years old and sooooo wanting to tdie but couldnt because science enabled you to live forever??????? Imagine this news report: A desperate millenium old grandpa who have successfully committed suicide 10 times but was successfully revived the same number of times is again on top of Mt. Everest ready to jump but scientists are also waiting at the foot of the mountain ready to initiate medical revival treatment. The old man was said to be holding up a placard that reads: "Oh, why don't you just let me die!!!!!"

...life is like a piece of wood over an open fire...eventually the wood burns out...science can slow down the burning (living in a vacuum for instance) but not overcome it...

...I like being born again and then just merging with God...weird, huh !?!

I believe life will be prolonged, but death is always going to be inevitable. Besides the way this world is going who would want to live forever. Could you imagine the world population if this were to become possible?!?!
