Some cough medicines contain an amphetamine like compound that helps clear the airways when you are congested.

The better question if you are worried about failing a drug test is what is the half life of "meth" and how long will it take before I test clean.

Find out what the "half life" of meth is. A half life is how much time has to pass before your body metabolizes (cleans out) half of the drug from your system. Times the half life by 6. After that amount of time you should have 1% in your blood.

Because:
100 cut in half is 50
50 cut in half is 25
25 cut in half is 12.5
12.5 cut in half is 6.25
6.25 cut in half is 3.12
3.125 cut in half is 1.56

For example if the half life is 20 hours
20 times 6 = 120 hours to 1% left in system

Because
Take the drug = 100 %
after 20 hours = 50 %
after 40 hours = 25%
after 60 hours = 12.5 %
after 80 hours = 6.25 %
after 100 hours = 3.12%
After 120 hours = 1.56

120 hours divided by 24 hours per day = 5 days.

Just find out what the actual half life is and plug it in.

Plus you should not that if you take any additional drug within those 5 days it has an additive effect. This is what leads to worse addiction and the symptoms people associate with meth. Most people don't really have any idea how much they are on.

Please get/stay clean

Methamphetamine is not an active pharmaceutical ingredient used in any over-the-counter medicines, nor is it used in any prescription drugs.

Meth is created by "cooking" legitimate drugs that contain ephedrine or pseudorephedrine with other nasty stuff like battery acid and ammonia.

I don't think you could test positive for meth by simply taking something with ephedrine or pseudoephedrine in it.

Today's tests do not register any over the counter meds as amphetamines.
