In 1919 during a solar eclipse, Arthur Eddington observed the light from stars passing close to the sun was slightly bent, so that stars appeared slightly out of position, apparently confirming Einsteins theory and leading to the curved universe theory. Was Arthur not simply observing the bending of light rays due to the heat of the sun, the same effect that causes mirage's?

Life = everything between birth and death
Death = everything after life
???? = everything before birth

Maybe there is a word to describe it that I am familiar with; I just can't think of it.

Albert Einstein said,
"Everyone who is seriously interested in the pursuit of science becomes convinced that a spirit is manifest in the laws of the universe--a spirit vastly superior to man, and one in the face of which our modest powers must feel humble."

Let me start off by saying when I was a child my grandmother told me of a time when she and my aunt got chased down the road about 6:00 a.m. by a fireball. Never thought much of it untill now. I live one road over from where that occured. The only thing deviding the two places is about 15 acres of woods. I also live in a very wooded setting.
I have saw balls of light fly past my window on about 3 occasions.
Several times including last night I have saw a star like object in my yard that will shut off completly and then light back up. This time it was in a tree. I think I will stop looking out my window in the middle of the night.
I have looked up Orbs and Balls of Light associated with Crop circles. Neither looks like what I have saw. Orbs and BOL seem not as bright What I have seen actually look like a star. Any advice on what this could be appreciated. Also, I do expect someone to say something smart-elicky and I don't care so don't waste your time if your not serious.

I cant figure out this question on average speed.

I know average speed is d2-d1/t2-t1.

I have d2 being 1.5km and d1 being .8km
My times are .017hr and .012hr.

I keep getting 140 for my average speed which makes no sense cuz I had 85km/hr and 67km/hr to begin with.

The orginal question was an antelope can run 1.5km with an average speed of 85km/hr and then it ran .8km with an average speed of 67 km/hr.

Find the average speed during its whole run - I figured the time to be 1.74 min.

Anyways can you help me figure out why I'm getting 140km/hr for my average speed??

I'm not talking about television.
Have you ever seen "PSI Factor" TV show? It is still on in Iran.well. I follow it every week and it's the best TV show I have seen ever.all about strange events.my favourite things. But do you think they have actually happened? Some of them are just hard to believe.I have heard of getting older but I haven't ever heard of getting younger untill you are only six! Are there any proofs on any of them? Were really 10 stors of a skyscraper in the U.S disappeared? If so why haven't we heard about them on news?Could such important events be hidden? Why 99% of U.F.Os are just seen in the U.S?Don't tell me because little green aliens have fallen in love with Americans!cos they haven't.because movie makers in Hollywood want it to be that way!(But to be honest I saw one of these strange objects over Iran's sky at dawn and it couldn't have been a satellite but I could be wrong) I believe in the other world, miracles, strange powers of mind, and lots of other things. But that doesn't mean that I should believe aliens have abducted a man so he could talk to live cells and he could change his figure or a statue is looking for his lost head or the earth was going to be sawallowed by an unknown darkness!Tell me have any of you ever seen or heard of an area in a jungle which can turn you to a 70 year old man within seconds? If it was true then government should have warned people not to go there! It's too stupid. But as I said some of them are quite believable such as seeing ghosts,U.F.Os,U.S.Os,using your mind to do strange things, telepathy and so on. NOT ALL OF THEM.They claim ALL these stories are based on actual case files of O.S.I.R reaserchs and they have actually happened.(O.S.I.R stands for the Office of Sientific Investigation and Research and I don't know if it is in the U.S or in Canada) Could science explain them?Do you believe in them?
Read this part if you don't know what O.S.I.R is otherwise please answer the question.
The Office of Scientific Investigation and Research - the O.S.I.R.- is a private organization that, among its many activities, scientifically explores incidents which might be paranormal in nature. These include such areas as haunting and poltergeist phenomena, possessions, exorcisms, miracles, psi-related phenomena (including psychokinesis, precognition, altered states, near-death experiences and channeling), geophysical mysteries, astral projection, reincarnation and telepathy.
