It's a Saxon brand, newtonian style, reflector scope, with a equatorial mount. How do i set it up for viewing? All i have is a diagram of the telescope showing me the assembly and names of the parts to put it together, but no information regarding the actual operation of all these pieces once it's been put together.

First, I tried the Saxon website and it looks like it is down at the moment. If you are looking for specifics on your particular telescope, they would be the best place to go. Try this at times to see if it ever comes up www.saxon.com.au

If you want to find out how to set up a telescope with an equatorial mount, there are plenty of astronomy websites out there and a simple google search http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=setting+up+an+equatorial+mount found plenty that offer advice.

first look at this website and see if it really is "the world's easiest equatorial mount instructions"

One of the best ways to find out how to use your telescope is to check out your local amateur astronomy club. Most areas have one and a few Google searches should turn something up. You will find people willing and anxious to show you how to set up but also how to use and enjoy your scope.

Locate an address, slow or e-mail, for the maker and send a request to them for a Technical Manual and set up procedures.
