Read any book by Richard Dawkins; they describe how complexity evolves over time.

In order to understand this question, you really need to understand the mechanisms of evolution and have a relatively deep grasp of the theory. The simple answer is that over hundreds of millions of years minor genetic changes in species add up to form a very deep level of complexity. To anybody who is interested in how this works, I would suggest reading the books I mention in sources, especially "Blind Watchmaker" which thoroughly explains how we get such complexity through the mechanism of evolution.

Darwin himself acknowledged that Evolution could be disproved by 'irreducible complexity'. This means, a structure requires two or more changes that are not independently beneficial, it cannot be explained by evolution. This is the primary argument in favor of intelligent design. While 'God' is not necessarily the designer, its hard to argue any designer would not qualify as 'God'.

That is a very good question; unfortunately, it can never be answered since it is inextricably tied to ones religious beliefs: people are very stubborn on these issues--even when the evidence is compelling.
