Baby chicks, puppies, bunnies, kittens, even baby pigs.. all cute. Why? What do you think the cutest baby animal is?

The head to body ratio is further apart as a baby, thus making one cute.
I'm partial to baby bunnies! But baby pandas are so ugly that they are cute.

I think it is because they look so helpless and have the features we all like in baby critters, the small noses, eyes and the shape of the face. I love lions and tiger cubs best and the bear cub comes in a close second.

The cuteness is in the vulnerability. The cutest would have to be the blue whale.

I hear it has something to do with the size of the eyes in propotion to its head, and its head in proportion to the rest of its body. Large eyes and large head supposedly subconsciously remind us of human babies, which is why we feel attracted to and protective of baby animals.

Baby animals are born to shape what will they evolve to look like their parents in future, they born small and youthful that capture our hearts. They are innocent, beautiful in nature, born to be acknowledged as they bond relationships with their parents, friends and us, that reminds of cute babies we like to take care with parenting instinct.
