Image 11 looks like an image to test color blindness - the Ishihara color test, named after Professor Shinobu Ishihara at University of Tokyo, published in 1917. Image 12 is a list of chemical elements published in 1805 by John Dalton.

Dalton also did research on color blindness.

11 is a chart of atomic weights. 12 is a colour blindness test card. John Dalton would be the connection.
