how do you find the worst case for keeping a zenor diode in breakdown. Which is the worst case below.
case 1: 11.2volts input, current 0A
case 2: 11.2volts input, current 100mA
case 3: 14 volts input, current 0A
case 4: 14 volts input, current 100 mA.

Also to calculate the max current throught the diode without exceeding its max power dissipation, Would i use the zenor voltage x the maximum regulator current. On the data sheet they list a test current and a maximum regulator current, which one do i use or what is the difference?

for constant = y=3
for identity = y=x
for quadratic = y=x^2
for cubic = y=x^3
for absolute value = y=|x|
for square root = y=√x
for reciprocal (odd power) = y=1/x
for reciprocal (even power) = y=1/x^2
for exponential (x>1) = y=10^x
for exponential (x<1) = y=10^x
for logarithmic (common) = y=log x
for logarithmic (natural) = y=ln x
and no, this isn't my homework. I know that Xs and Ys are supposed to switch...but then I don't know how to work from there. Do all these parent functions even have inverses (all)? Help please, I'm trying to understand something here. Work is appreciated!

I found out my score for my first test of the semester today and it was only a C. BARELY a C mind you I got a 71%. I studied my brains out. I read the material inside out. I memorized everything the teacher told me to. I came in for extra help everytime I had the chance. But here were like 7 people who got A's and B's and these people are studying to be chemical engineers or whatever. Are these people just smarter than me or wht is going on. Should i just drop out?

Suppose you want to know the last card for a deck of 47 cards or one with 102 cards and you don't have that many cards.

What would be the equation I would use to solve this problem? I know the pattern looks like this...
The 1st column is the number of cards in the deck. The 2nd is the last numbered card.

1 = 1
2 = 2
3 = 2
4 = 4
5 = 2
6 = 4
7 = 6
8= 8
9 = 2
10 = 4
11 = 6
12 = 8
13 = 10
14 = 12
15 = 14
16 = 16
17 = 2
18 = 4
19 = 6

Please let me know how you solved it and please let me know what equation will work!

I have some data (lengths and times) that I need to put into a graph using log log paper with 2 cycles. But I have no idea how to do it. The log log paper is labled 1-10 2-10 on both the x and y axis, and my data is like: (85cm, 18.7 sec), (76cm, 17.4sec)... and so on. Can someone explain it to me?
