Good question! Nano tech will be used in such areas as the health industry in the coming years. One such use will in robotics. Tiny robots will preform operations in areas that are just to hard to reach any other way. To remove blood clots, to open up arteries due to scaring, to seek out malignancies and treat by injection and maybe even laser.

The sinister type of uses Will come for military and law enforcement use. Tiny bug like robots will listen in and look in on the bad guys. Tiny bug warriors will be used to crawl or fly into the enemies camp and deliver all sorts of weapons. Most likely poison injections and immobilization injections. Not to mention all of things they could do to machinery.

These are just some of the things they are foreseen to do.

Pretty cool huh?

In principle, all the natural and man-made commodities which we value can be made from cheap rubbish on a large scale if you've got enough tiny machines to do the job. Today we use natural organisms like soil bacteria, grapes and yeast to convert cow **** into champagne, or plankton, sturgeons and salmon to turn wee wee and poo poo into luxury sea food. Nanotechnology is all about artificially developing microscopic machines to build up machines, foods, medicines, artificial organs and goodies out of cheap rubbish. But if it gets out of control we're in serious ****.
