a miscarriage and my partner doesnt really understand is there anything I can do to stop having one or minimize the chances i am 7 weeks we have been trying for so long (over 2 years) any help plz

I'm nearly 28 weeks pregnant, and baby has had a growth spurt and my belly has gotten really big in the last 3 weeks. Now im finding it hard to go to sleep at night. When i lay on my side, it feels like baby weighs down to that side and after a few mins i start getting pains in my stomach. Ive tried the pillow under the stomach thing and its not working, and i cant sleep on my back either as it leaves me breathless and dizzy......anyone have any suggestions of how to be comfortable...Thanks

I know that there are some people who live on benefits there whole lives and really do abuse the system designed to help people get back on there feet
My problem is that my parents have between them been paying over £2000 a month in taxes for over 10 years. I had my first baby last year and I was at college so I wasn’t working, the government gave my about £50 a week to look after my little boy, I was recieving this for around a year. The amount of people who looked down on me was incredible.
Why is it that people automatically take up such bad attitudes without knowing anything about them?

Within the last couple hours this has happened... well I am at work (I sit all day) and every time I get up it feels funny, I get like rubbing on my pelvis bones but it doesn't hurt and a whole lot of pressure.. could he be moving lower into the birth canal? Last night even I was getting shooting pressure.. not pains just like pushing as I was lying there and made me have to get up more than often.. could this mean labor is soon??

I sure hope this is a sign because I am more than ready to meet my little bundle of joy!!

I am almost 38 weeks now. This is my second baby, my 1st I was induced and never experienced "going into labor". Thanks a lot for your input!!

Ok I've got a preg riddle I just can't figure out. I am now 6 months prego and my fiance and I are trying to figure out the date of conception. My last full blown menstrual cyle was on Jan 3, 2007. On Feb 11 I had a 10-15 minute bleeding (which I thought was the beginning of my period) right after intercourse. I took a preg test on Feb 18 and it was -. I took another on Mar 11, realizing that I had missed another period, and it was +. Now having sonograms done, they have estimated I conceived on Feb 10th. My question is how did I ovulate at such a random time or was it an extremely short period on Feb 11 and conceived after? One nurse has said I prob conceived before and another has said to count it as my period. I have a pretty regular 28 - 30 day cycle with 4 day periods. I've considered that I may have missed my Jan ov. So when would I get my next? Same time as if i had my period or would it be thrown off a little, causing it to be the first week of Feb?

I'm 31 weeks pregnant with my first child and for the last 9-12 weeks it has been literally impossible for me to get wet. We've tried everything from prolonged foreplay to lubricants. If we use a lubricant it seems to disentigrate (SP)... i know that sounds weird but it does! I've never had this problem before i'm sure its just being pregnant But had anyone experienced this before? Please give me any advice that you have!

I am due tomorrow with my first and ever since last Thursday i have been getting pain in my lower back and pelvic area. Could this be contractions??? It only lasts for a few seconds however today they have increased in length. I really dont know what contractions will feel like and i have never gotten menstrual cramps with my period ( i just get REALLY bad back pain) so i dont know if this is what cramps feel like. I have not yet lost my mucus plug either but the baby has been engaged for at least two weeks. Thanks for taking the time to answer this question!

I am 16 weeks pregnant and I go to the doctor thursday. I have had about 6 ultrasounds b/c I had a miscarriage last year and they are keeping a close watch. But the midwife said that they wouldn't do an ultra sound at my visit on thursday. Are they still going to check for a heartbeat though? I will get another ultrasound at 19 weeks to check for the sex. But I just want to hear the heart beat again at my next visit.

My periods have been on about a 28 day cycle, but then, this month it was two days early, it lasted the same as usual and i didn't notice much difference other than it started lighter than usual at first, but then was as normal. The last time I had sex was not at a time I was to be ovulating. Do you think that I could be pregnant or is it very doubtful?

We tried this method the other night and I keep hearing that it usually works pretty quick. However, it is not pleasurable it just hurts cause the baby is so low. Should we jsut keep trying and hope it works? Has it worked for you?

this may seem kind of silly, but thats my life nothing i can do about it!
my husband just graduated with his bachelors degree and i am almost 28 weeks pregnant and he has been looking for work around here so that i can stay w/ my doctor and not have to move this far along. we haven't found anything local but he does have a really good chance of a job in a city that is 4 hours away. we will take it if he gets it- need the $$!
is it dangerous to move/change doctors etc this far along? what can i do to deal with this?
it's a little stressful not knowing whats going on but if we do get the job we'll be moving in a month or so, so i'll be 32 weeks then.
advice PLEASE!

Why would any woman in her right mind smoke while pregnant?
for example I know a girl who is seventeen and almost nine months pregnant, and she still smokes.

it just doesn't make sense.

I have very strange cravings for smells. Like rubbing Alcohol, thats the worst one, I want to smell it all the time, I have to stop myself sometimes. I also like the smell of some cleaners like Pine Sal and Mr, Clean.

Is this normal, and 18 weeks pregnant? Should I tell my doctor about this?

I have always LOVED the smell of soil...especially wet soil... and Im 37 weeks pregnant. The other night, I got a taste for some soil!!! (I didnt indulge of course) but it was really weird. Anyone else experience this or something similar?

So I just got back from my appt. (37 week) and saw my Dr, he didn't check me or anything just told me he'd see me in a week. Well I go to schedule my appt. and the nurse says oh hes going to be out of the office for the next 3 weeks! Okay so she called back to him and told him to just make an appt then. So the time when I am supposed to be seeing him EVERY week I have an appt in 3 weeks! That would put me a couple days after my due date. Well I said okay.. what happens when I need to see someone (most likely!) before than and they just said oh go into labor and delivery and get checked out. WTF! Why would a Dr do this? I have been measuring big since like 32 weeks so he says I probably wont make it to my due date...I don't understand!

I'm not worried, I'm just curious. I've never been pregnant before so I don't know how it's "supposed" to feel, and I feel foolish asking my mom this question (even though I usually ask her my pregnancy questions) because I feel like it's silly.

I'm 18 weeks pregnant and the past couple of weeks, I've begun to feel what I can only describe as a "tightness" in my lower abdomen. I would say everything feels "squished" but it's more like everything feels "tight." My husband can feel that part of my belly is harder than the rest. When I have to pee, it hurts. Not burning, but I feel excessively full - very "tight" I don't know of another word to describe it. Like all of my insides have been stretched across a drum.

I'm sure this is normal, but I've never heard it described this way. Thoughts? Is this the normal halfway mark feeling?

I get so bloated when I'm pregnant that it actually makes me feel sick and I don't want to eat. I try taking Beano with my food, or Gas-X later, but nothing helps. I drink plenty of water and eat healthy things like grilled chicken or cereal or fruit and still get really bloated.

Please help. I feel so yukky and uncomfortable. Any other remedies you know of?

I had sex the day after my period without a condom because several information sites say it's the "safest" day. Though there is no real day where it's truly impossible, I know it's less likely the day after. Also, my boyfriend pulled out (and yes, I know that precum can still get you pregnant). Earlier that day actually, I had a little brownish spotting from the post period stuff. So technically, it was the 6th day of my period (which I don't usually have) and I don't know if I can count that as the last day of my period or the day after residue. Also, after we had sex I started bleeding a tad more, not from being cut or torn during sex but from more period stuff and it lasted until the next evening (spotting and such). Any insight on if that meant my period was continuing on because of the sex and if I could still get pregnant from what I did? I know this is long but..HELP!

what happens when he goes over there to the military school to become an MP? im due on february 19th,2008, if he leaves by mid august will he be back for my birth? how does that benefit me? while he's in training will he be able to write me or phone me...they said he'll be gone for 4 months and 1 week, will i not hear or speak to him till he gets back..?help....he's kinda of a club a holic and he loves his friends, but he wants to join that because he feels he can ofer a better life to me and his baby...this is our first child....im scared im 20v and his 21....any answers to my questions?????????????
