Normal delivery is better unless it's a high risk pregnancy or there's some kind of complication. You heal faster and aren't left with any scars. Recovery time is longer with a c-section and you can't do as much afterwards. There are also fewer risks to both the mother and baby with a normal delivery. A c-section is a serious surgery and not something that should be done without need.

Both can have complications. Unless the mother has complications, a natural delivery is the safest. A C- section comes with all the risks from a major surgery. The wound can become infected, the staples can pull, the tissue under the wound can fail to grow back. The list could go on and on. C-sections are very common in this country. However, many people forget that C-sections are Major surgeries.

i'm not sure what you mean by better, it sounds like you have been given these as viable options..
"normal" delivery is the way the body will get over it the quickest, as it is how nature intended things to be.. Cesarean is used as a way of saving the mom and baby when things for wrong during the labouring process.sometimes the doctors must decide which one can / or will be saved.. as a child bearing option i say stick to the natural way as it is so much easier to recover from.. this i know as i have had 2 "c" sections... .. ... now a days there is a thing called the epidural this is great as it will stop all the pain involved in the natural process.
.
i hope this helps..

Cesarean is easier for the doctor and patient however, carries much more risks because it is major surgery and it takes longer to heal. Cesarean is also more expensive. Natural delivery is quicker and more stress on baby. Both hurt so you decide.

Most women i've talked to say a vaginal birth is better than a c-section because it has less recovery time and you don't have to go through surgery. I had surgery for a hernia in my groin, so the scar is in a similar place as a cesarean scar, and i don't want another one. Although vaginal birth can cause some tearing, and the vaginal canal will never be the same, i'd rather have a vaginal birth.
My sis had her first daughter vaginally and had no problem with it. she had to have a c-section with her twins, and she hated it because it was so hard to take care of them and she had to wait so long to go back to work. she couldn't even pick up any of her kids for a month. The babies had to be placed on her to breastfeed.

A lot of different things can be good or bad about both. I have had both and prefer a normal delivery. BOth of mine went really well and I walked out of the delivery room to my regular room. Within a couple days I was back to my normal routine. With my c-section I was out of commission for quite a while, but I didn't have any complaints about it either. Guess I just like to be able to move around and with my c-section I couldn't do that.

Unless there is a medical condition involved, a normal delivery is better for both mother and child in most instances. Many complaints about childbirth, including problems with incontinence, are the result of pregnancy, not vaginal birth. Lots of complications with c-sections, but the biggest is infection (1 in 10 women will get an infection from the surgery; some quite serious and long lasting).

A vaginal deliver carries the least amount of risk. You can get up and walk around a hour after you have the baby provided you didnt have an epidural. There is bruising and some swelling and the stitches itch. Thats the worst of it. C-section you are down for days the stitches are very painful and you will need assistance for several days afterwards. You will even need help sitting up at first. There is complication involved including heavy bleeding, as well as build up of scar tissue later.
I would go for a vaginal over a c-section any day. Its natural and women have been doing it since the begining of time.

The better choice is different for every birth. In an uncomplicated pregnancy, vaginal delivery is best. It's best for the baby because passing through the birth canal helps to clear the baby's lungs of all the fluid and mucus and it good for the mother because it is less invasive and requires less recovery time. Sometimes c-section is the best choice. When complications arise and having the baby vaginally become risky for the baby or mother, Drs will chose to have C-sect.

That depends on you and the baby. If there are any complications (breech, for example) or if the mother's pelvis is too small, then definitely cesaerean. But if everything is ok and the mother is able to delivery vaginally, then vaginally is the way to go. Whatever the delivery method, THE MOST IMPORTANT THING is that the baby and you stay healthy and out of harms way.
