We tried this method the other night and I keep hearing that it usually works pretty quick. However, it is not pleasurable it just hurts cause the baby is so low. Should we jsut keep trying and hope it works? Has it worked for you?

Doesn't work at all, actually. Just go to your doctor and get a professional opinion, rather than wasting your time here or at home trying superstitions.

With my second child I was 3 centimeters dialated for a month and was 2 days over due. My doctor told us to go home and have sex when my husband exjeculated inside DON'T get up and go to the washroom lay there. So we did and 3 hours later after falling asleep I went into labor. And yes it was not much fun for you but it works atleast it did for me. Good luck tonight.

I let nature take it's course. The Baby will come when it's good and ready. If sex hurts then why do it...it will all be over before you know it, enjoy the baby inside of you, the work really begins after the birth... Don't rush nature...Good Luck!!

If it hurts then I wouldn't do it. Just keep walking, they will come when they want to. The one way that I know works really well is to play with you nipples. I know sounds gross, it worked for my two sisters and my best friend.

Semen contains a prostaglandin that helps soften teh cervix...but from what I understand that is only if the cervix is ready.
