I had period like pains with my first pregnancy, and my daughter was fine. I'm 5 weeks right now and I get them too.

Im 7 weeks gone too, and I am also experiencing period pains. I'm worried, but as there has been no blood, I'm trying not to get too worked up about it, as it might be contributing to the pain! If you've had 3 miscarriages before, then you should be extra vigilant with any cramp like pains, so I'd see your doc, he might send you for an early scan to make sure everything is in the right place. Good luck! x

Most women experience pain at this stage of a pregnancy, some say it is like a mild ache, mine was like bloomin painful period pains!
I to have had a miscarriage and ectopics before so I know how worrying it can be at this stage. Keep an eye on yourself, obviously any bleeding or increase in pain get in touch with your hospital and see what they advise. The pain may just be from where you have been poked and prodded today, especially if the scan was internal.
Good luck to you xx

when you got your scan, could the doctor see the baby? or a sac or something? I got a scan on Friday and the doctor found nothing so she said i could be too early or having an ectopic pregnancy. Found out, that i was just too early and not having an ectopic pregnancy. thank god. but i know with an ectopic pregnancy, you will have sharp pains. Most likely on one side than the other. You will have shoulder pain. Dizziness. Maybe bleeding. Are you experiencing any of that? But if the doctor saw something in your uterus, than its not an ectopic pregnancy. If you are just having some cramps and short small pain, that's ok. its just your uterus and ligaments straighting.

hi hun, i had period type cramps with this pregnancy too.I kept running to the loo every ten minutes expecting to see blood as i felt likje i was leaking all the time.I actually had a very small amount of spotting at 5 weeks and was sent for a scan at 7 weeks but all was fine.I was told that as long as they are never any worse than a period cramp it was ok.I had them on and off until about 12 weeks.Im now 21 weeks and have had my scan today and bubs is fine.Im sure your baby will be fine too.Good luck hun xx

I had the same pain when i was around 5-7 weeks pregnant as well. I am 15 weeks now and the pain stopped when i was 7 weeks preg. Definitely talk to your doctor. My doctor told me it was my uterus expanding and that is why it hurt to make room for the new baby. Hope all goes well God Bless!

sometimes you can still get a mild tummy ache period pain in the early months, and it may be perfectly ok. just give the midwife a ring.... straight away, and get her advice, and continue to take it easy. i had very small bleeds each time it was my period too, and everything was ok. i also had a miscarriage, so i know how each little twinge and tummy ache can worry the life out of you. good luck, and lots of positive thinking xx

many times at around 6/7 weeks, your uterus starts off to strengthen and stretch. you're better than probably feeling muscular pulling pains. it is wide-spread. each and every now and then appears like minor cramping on each and every aspects of your uterus. i'm hoping this permits you!
