I am surviving it barely. I tried crackers, they make me puke. I tried ginger in many different forms, still puked. I got the acupressure wristbands and they helped alot for about a week or so then , puking again. My doc gave me phinagrin, but that knocked me out for 8 hours at a time and I woke up sick. Right now peppermint lifesavers are helping. I am finally at almost 13 weeks and I am so looking forward to the "honeymoon" part of pregnancy. Everyone keeps telling me it will get better, so I will tell you the same thing. It has got to get better! Good Luck and Congrats!

After trying ALL of the home remedies I knew of and that people had recommended and getting no results, I broke down and got a prescription for phenergan. It's a Class C morning sickness drug.
Ideally, you should try a Class A or B drug - they are the safest. Dramamine (not the non-drowsy formula) is Class B but it might not be strong enough. But try it first before trying something else.
I just found out about 2 new therapies with my current pregnancy. No one had told me about them before. I haven't tried them yet, but I will:
1. Electronic Relief Bands (for motion sickness)
2. Half a Unisom tablet plus 50 mg tablet of B6
You might try those remedies first since the bands are drug-free, and Unisom is a Class A drug - the safest out there for pregnant women.

Ughhh, i was nauseated for the whole 9 months!!! I lost 30 lbs with my first. I was constantly in the ER w/an I.V. due to dehydration from not being able to keep ANYTHING down. It's horrible. My only advice is....TRY sour candy, like sour gummy worms. I used to chew alot of bubble gum too! Also they say that coca cola is good because it has emedrol or something like that, that supposedly controls nausea. It didn't work for me though. I ate alot of saltines and sprite too!
Oh ya, and the doc can prescribe Phenergan suppositories so you don't swallow and throw up. THOSE HELPED tremendously!!!!!!!

There are anti-nausea meds your ob-gyn can prescribe. But some simple home remedies can help. Ginger ale helps you burp and for some reason the taste eases the feeling. Smelling a lemon worked amazingly well for my wife. She would take a half a lemon everywhere with her, sniffing it constantly. We tried the sea-sickness bracelets, with minimal effect. Some people swear by them and they are a lot cheaper and safer for you and your baby than meds. Try the lemons! Good luck.

You don't think you will...but you do. I tried ALL the meds. Zofram, Raglen, Phenigran - and yes that is probably misspelled - as well as the home remedies and concoction my doc had me try. Still puked atleast 6 times a day, and when I didn't, I still felt awful.
On the high side, it ended at about 22 weeks, and I haven't been sick since. KNOCK ON WOOD.

I found it was helpful to keep some snacks beside the bed. When I woke up each day, I would eat something before getting out of bed. It helped to lessen the morning sickness. Crackers and dried fruit worked well for me.

If you mean morning sickness (which btw can happen morning noon and night) I only had it a little with my girl, and I kept a sleeve of soda crackers in the car, it seemed that dry crackers helped my tummy not to do the roll thing
congrats!

I thought I was going to die. I was sick with my first baby for like 6-7 months. I didn't think I was ever going to be able to eat. But I survived and you will too. Just take it easy and make sure you are getting fluids. I got dehydrated really bad and trust me you don't want that.

I just take deep breaths and lay down when I can. People say eat saltine crackers but the only time I feel sick is right after I eat. How far along are you? 9 weeks here.
