Hello everyone
I have a bit of a dilema. Even though I work only from 7am to 12noon, I always find myself getting winded. I always carry a bottle of water with me, but I have asthma too so sometimes it doesn't even help. I work in the stock room and up at the cash register and I already fainted and fell over twice (I went to the hospital and my doc said that the baby is alright after I got checked up.). Should I take leave from my job soon? Even standing gets me out of breath and my back aches like crazy (plus my feet are swollen most of the time). Should I take leave now or wait a few more weeks? My fiance says to take leave when I feel ready to (he also works) , but I still would like to save up money for the arrival of this baby. Please help! i want to do what's best for this little boy of ours and I don't want to put him at any risk or danger. Thank you.

hi all
well my first pregnancy wasnt a good experience i remember i was pushing for just over 3 hours (first stage was 9 hours ish) and the doc cam in every 1 was shoutin at me to push and doc sed if not out in 3 pushes hes gonna intervine. i also remember the midwife sayin she was gonna put a drip in which will give me more pain so id wanna push more. another point is my last pethadine shot was 4 hours b4 started pushin n wasnt aloud n e more n gas n air wasnt doin n e thin by that stage n had no epidural., any way the final result was my son being born 10lb 12oz and on his way out his shoulders got stuck and there were 2 midwives and 1 doc tuggin him out. anyway im now preg with no. 2 and was already brickin havin to go through same exp now i find that they gonna monitor me n stuff coz my son was big and i also need physio as my back is in agony due to fallin down stairs and havin suspected broken coccyx. anyway worried now i wont get the birth i want and that everything is........

Is this true? Does it have anything to do with the size of the woman? Also how far will they let you travel in your last month?

My little girl was born after a long diffucult labour followed by a c-sec. She is now just over 4 weeks old and has been suffering from reflux, which is making her very miserable and sick constantly and not sleeping much at all. all this is making me very miserable too, i think i am suffering from PPD a little and am so tired and irriable. I feel cheated by her birth as i didn't get to cuddle her and bond immediately, and, although I love her to bits, she sometimes feels like a strangers baby. I so want to enjoy my little girl and at my wits end as to what to do. Has anyone else experienced this and how did u overcome it? any advice would be greatfully appreciated

I know there are a million other questions like these here, but I haven't seen one where they have dizziness or blurred vision. (Well, maybe not blurred...it's like its getting dark in the room and it starts from the outside and moves inward.) This mostly happens when I stand, sit or bend down. Please answer soon if you can help.

I have a question for all of you that think abortion is wrong. If you were raped by a gentleman on a dark alley, or a few men for that matter; would abortion be a bad thing then? Is abortion right in some cases... and for the the chick that goes by "preggers" not only were you rude but you are selfish yourself... there is no need to talk to someone the way you did on that other question. You can't judge some one until you walk in their shoes. Just because you feel a certian way does not mean that others feel the same. Have some compassion, you do not know her circumstances.

My girlfriend is away one month for school. We are both in the Military and she called me this morning and said she is spotting, from what I know, this could mean possible pregnancy right? She's almost 2 1/2 weeks from her next cycle. Any help?

I am a first time mother and 14 weeks pregnant.
What do I need to do to prepare for my baby

-Assistance? Where and when?
-What do I need to buy now for myself or baby (clothes, food, etc)

Any help from people who have been there would help.

PS No help from father, so please no advice that includes help from others I know personally.

Hello,
I went to the doc yesterday and he said there was a heart beat but the baby was small? I am a month along and have had a misscarriage a year ago. Is there anything I can do to help make the baby bigger? Anything to help to not loose it? The doctor told me to come back in 2 weeks and not worry about it but it is hard. I cannot loose this one!

TYIA!

I had an ultrasound yesterday at 19wks and straight away the woman said it was a boy, so maybe it wasn't hard to tell.

The 2d ultrasound looks so much clearer than the ones i've seen on the tele. I had a photo done of his head, so you can see the outline of the nose, lips and chin, it's amazing.

But do you think she's correct, as she found it so quickly.

I hope shes right for the sake of shopping wise hehe. Thanks xx

More specifically, how do I tell my father-in-laws girlfriend that it's not ok? I've only just met her on mother's day, and have since only seen her maybe 3 times. She's practically a stranger to me, yet even on our first meeting she had her hands all over my tummy. And now every time she sees me she putting both hands on me and rubbing away like I'm a little buddha or something. It's very frustrating since I don't want to be a total *****, but it's also an invasion of my privacy and makes me very uncomfortable. Any suggestions?

I have heard of several people talking about it. What exactly is the harm to the baby? I'm 25 weeks pregnant and i only limit myself to 1 to 2 drinks a day. I'm just curious what it does to the baby.

How far along were you when the u/s tech predicted and how sure was she? Was she right or wrong? Was 3/4-D equipment being used? I had my 20 week u/s done and the tech said she was 100% sure it's a girl. Of course we can't be 100% sure until the baby is born, but... This tech has a reputation of being really good and I have a picture of the girl parts but now I've read stories about the girl parts turning into boy parts.

Now I've been hearing all these stories where the mom's found out on the 2nd ultrasound that they were wrong or worse when the baby was born. Does it really happen that often now with the advanced ultrasound equipment? Tell me about YOUR PERSONAL experience. I have 4 children and the u/s techs were always right when they predicted gender.

I am barely showing. Really the baby has just pushed out some of my fat. But I need to know if wearing this shaper is bad. It just makes my stomach look smoother under clothes. Instead of flabby.

I just read an answer from another user that said that once you hit 1cm dialated your doc/midwife would be checking you every 20-30 minutes.
Holy Moley!! Are there really doctors that try to do that???
There is NO REASON to be checked that often (unless you are high risk)! Could you imagine being checked every 30 minutes of a 24 hour labor! Getting checked is awful. You are already uncomfortable and in pain and someone sticking their fingers where the pain is originating from is no way to spend 24 hours! You will know when you are ready to push. As long as they can check the baby's heart rate and yours, there is no reason to put fingers anywhere. (Maybe once when you arrive to see if the baby is head down).
I was checked with both of my babies only when my behavior led them to believe it was getting time to push.
What in the world did women do before we had big strong doctors to violate our bodies during labor??
