I'm 24 weeks pregnant and for the past few days, I have been having the runs (diarhea) and some stomach discomfort. My mom just told me to drink a lot of fluid so I don't get dehydrated. I wont see me my doctor until Saturday. Is this normal and have anyone experience diarhea during pregnancy??

Why do people feel the need to scare the life out of u when u are close to giving birth with labour horror stories? Im worried enough as it is but friends, relatives, in-laws, strangers, even the childbirth classes insist on doing it. where are all the positive stories, there must be some? the only one ive heard was today from a stranger on the street and it made my day. Why are people so dammed insensitive, i don't even ask for their tales they just feel the need to inform me how much its gonna hurt etc. Im so fed up with it!

It suppose to "predict" the gender of one's baby but I have no idea how it works or how to find the lunar age!

My friend conceived on March 31st
She's 18 years old and she was born on December 24th

How do we calculate her lunar age and the sex of her baby?

Here is the question:

I know that a girl can be pregnant by having an unprotected sex. The story is that my girlfriend and I has unprotected sex at the end of December and after that we test with the e.p.t. pregnancy test kit and results were negative and in the following days and weeks she had her period. And for the rest of the month until this month she has had her period on the date or two or three day later but for every month, after December until this April she had her period.

My question is can she still be pregnant?
Her tummy seems to be hurting right above her belly button; to all the mothers out there does this seem like a pregnancy?
Also can a woman still be pregnant after she has her period for past three or four months?
Also she vomit it today but she says that its because she two medication of vitamins or iron for women and that might have been a heavy does for her…so is she pregnant? Does any of this sound like signs of pregnancy?

Is she yes or no?

I went to my doctor yesterday and was advised that he will not let me go past my due date which is May 1. I have been 50 % effaced and 0 cm dilated for the last two weeks. I am aware that most women have already started to dilate at least a few cm by now and can stay dilated weeks before anything happens. Do you think that there is a chance I can still have him in the next week with no dilation at this point? I am aware that labor is supposed to be worse if I am induced.

To add, As far as contractions I have been having braxton hicks still very irregular.

I am 23 weeks pregnant and I have a problem with my doctor. He is supposed to be a very good doctor (technically) but as far as personably he sucks. He rushes through my visits, I barely have time to ask questions, he doesnt let me know whats going on when he runs tests or measures me. Like, when i go to listen to the heartbeat he finds it then he says "do you hear the baby?" and as soon as I say yes he cuts it off. He measured my stomach and said "22 inches" and wrote it down...I had to say "Is that good? Am I growing okay?" I mean, am I asking too much to want my doctor to be thorough and patient with me??? This IS my first baby afterall....

I have 8 weeks left and I am getting so nervous! I was wondering if anyone could tell me what their experiance was. I plan on having an epidural. I do not tollerate pain at all. I am terrified though. If you have an epidural what do you feel? No pain? a little bit of pain? What? What happened for you from the moment you went into labor until the end of it all. I am just looking for some stories of others, trying to get a perspective on what I am going to be going through! Thanks!

does the pain REALLY kick in? I have heard it hurts but bearable for a lot of the first stage, but when does the real strong contractions start? is it beginning of second stage? At what dialation? just before u need to push? transition period (when does that begin?) This is my first and Im 35 weeks. Just trying to prepare a bit. Thanks

OK for the past few weeks I have been having really bad cramps and currently a backache that lastnight I thought would kill me. I did start my period on Sunday (three days early) and today is the last day it seems. I went to the doctor and got tested twice to see if I were pregnant but the test was neg. She did however tell me I should she my obgyn cause it might be something else. I really think that I am pregnant because I know my body and I promise you something isn't right. Also before you make crazy comments I just want some advice thats all. I am a graduating senior in college and just need to know so I can decide if I am going to make the move to another state or just stay where I am for awhile and teach...I need some sisterly and motherly advice. A friend of my mom's wants to throw me a baby shower! woohoo! Anyways, I was wondering if there's anything I need to do? Is it essential to register somewhere, or can I just let everyone pick out what they want to get? There are 3 people who I would love to be there but I'm not sure if she will invite them, is there any way to bring this up, or to ask my mom to? my bestfreind just found out she is pregnant and she smokes i told her she had to quit completely, she thinks it is more harmful to the baby to quit cold turkey because she will be stressed.... thus making the baby stressed. i smoke and will quit when i decide to have a child, i think if you want to quit enough it wont be stressful at all. is she right, should she just cut down? or quit alltogether?
