Fetal age is the age the baby is and your due date is based on when you LMP began. Because you can't conceive until 2 wks after your LMP your fetus's age is two to three wks younger than the pregnancy age. Your due date doesn't change and the chances of you going 2 wks late are slim. Don't worry about fetal age, focus on your pregnancy week.
BTW, July seems about 4-6 wks early.

If you're 26 weeks pregnant based on your last menstrual period, you have 14 weeks left to go. Ignore the fetal age thing.

Due dates / 40 week gestation is based upon the first day of your last period-- its simpler this way as not everyone ovulates at the same time or knows date of conception. Technically, then, you start counting before you're actually PG, which is why 'fetal age' is "younger" than the pregnancy.

Well, there are two ways of calculating the age of the fetus. There is the LMP (Last Mestrual Period) method, where you calculate based on the first day of your last menstrual period, and there is the Gestational Age, which is the date you actually conceived. The date you actually conceived is usually 2 weeks after your LMP, so then, the gestational age is a bit younger than the LMP.

When you have an ultrasound, they also take measurements which are very accurate, and can estimate the baby's age based on his/her size. That is why they say "He is measuring 10 weeks 4 days" or whatever. That just means the average size for a baby that age.

Fetal age is how long you have actually been pregnant, when you count the weeks of pregnancy it generally starts 2 weeks before you actually concieve. You should trust the doctors on the due date.

Your gestational age goes back to the date of your last period. It has been 26 weeks since you've had a period and 23 weeks since you got pregnant.

Your child is due at 40 weeks gestational age, or 37 weeks fetal age.
