yep its the relaxin or something that the pregnancy releases in your body which loosens up joints (to help your hips widen) and sometimes it causes your bones in your feet to move and your feet to get longer.

Sometimes they go back, and sometimes they do not. I feel your pain tho... I am a 9 and do not want to have to find 10's somewhere! They just arent that cute when they are a size 10 :( lol

Ive had 2 babies. With my first I went up an entire shoe size..from a 7 to an 8. With my 2nd I stayed the same. Im still an 8 MAYBE 7 1/2 lol...Im pregnant again and I hope they dont get any bigger :) Dont worry though, a lot of it is just water retention and swelling. Congrats to you and good luck!

Don't worry about it. A lot more than your feet will change.

For a lot of women their feet get fatter from retaining water, for some they get longer from the added weight but return to a smaller size after pregnancy.

There is nothing you can do about it really, and don't worry about it. I wear the same size, and the longer your feet are the easier it is for your kids to sit on your feet & hold your leg while you walk them around.

:-)

My shoe size was about a 6-61/2 but when I got pregnant I went to 7-71/2. My shoe size went back to the original size so don't worry. They say pregnancy affects the whole body!

During birth your body releases a chemical which allows tendons to stretch more than they usually do to widen the birth canal. This, for some women, can translate to a few millimeter longer feet, sometimes up to half a shoe size.

my feet only grew half a size...but, 14 almost 15 years later, i'm back to my original size...i wonder if they are doing the same thing with shoes that they are doing with clothes...you know put the small label on a larger size...

your feet will not even be an issue once your baby is here

Mine went back, and I stupidly gave away some of my pre-pregnant shoes. Now if I could just get them to be the same size, ones 8 and ones 9 (had foot surgery from ballet)

Although I haven't had a child, I dropped about 25 lbs and went down half a shoe size. Hopefully when you get back to your norm, your shoe size will return to it's former size.

Be glad you're not Paris Hilton, she's a size eleven!
