Why is it best to take prenatal vitamins on an empty stomach?

Mine say to take a few hours before eating or a few hours after.

You don't take any vitamins on any empty stomach! They need some fat to even be digested properly so you should take them with a full meal and a glass of milk. Especially prenatal vitamins, come on! Take them with a full meal or they are useless and will irritate your stomach.

Never head of that. All the ones I have taken or read the label says with food. If you take it on an empty stomach it will give you a stomach ache.

Just so vitamins can digest easily. If food is being digested, this means vitamins will be absorbed along with food. So take them without, and they do no get absorbed INTO the food

Because your body will aborse them better. Also advise to you it's easier to take them at night drink water with it and your body will absorb them better. Hope this makes you understand a little better.

ive always heard to take it with food.
mine say to take with a meal.
i guess different ones have different directions.
