I'm 24 weeks pregnant and for the past few days, I have been having the runs (diarhea) and some stomach discomfort. My mom just told me to drink a lot of fluid so I don't get dehydrated. I wont see me my doctor until Saturday. Is this normal and have anyone experience diarhea during pregnancy??

You probably have a bug. Try the BRAT diet for 24 hours.

B-bananas
R-rice
A-apple juice
T-toast (white only-no butter)

Eat only these things and drink LOTS of water for 24 hours and it will probably stop the runs and will not hurt the baby. Remember this for when the baby comes too. That is what the pediatricians use for kids with the same problem. It works wonders!

When I was about 5 months pregnant I had some type of flu with vomitting and all and it was pretty bad, but it only lasted a day and basically I laid around and drank juice and water all day. I didn't take any medications but just kept hydrated. Let your doctor know that this has been going on for a few days and they need to keep track of you.

You may just have a stomach bug, I got them too during pregnancy and your mom is right make sure you are downing the fluids to keep you hydrated and the fluid levels for the baby up. Good luck.

The most important thing is that you do not get dehydrated. Have you called your doctor's office and told them about the diarrhea?

It probably doesnt have to do with the pregnancy it just might be that your sick but if you take medicene you should ask your doctors to make sure it doesnt affect the baby.
