i came off the pill 3 days before i was due to finish my last pack I have 4 children allready and have been with my new partner for nearly a year now we both would love a child he is 43 and i am 33 . what chance do you think we have .

I was told two days ago that I am having a little baby boy... I am so super excited but I dont want to get a lot of boy stuff yet... I am scared that when I deliver it will be a girl and I will have all boy things for her!

The tech told us right off the bat it looked like a boy... then she got him to open his legs and there was a little thing poking out in between... I know this sounds like a penis.... but I have heard it could also be the labia swollen...

I am 16 1/2 weeks - any advice? should I just believe it is in fact a boy?

Im 26 weeks pregnant with my 3rd and am suffering with a sore upper leg its right at the very top of my leg is olny starts to hurt if i walk for about 10/15 mins at a time so walking the baby to school in the morning or even walking to the shops to do my shopping leaves my in pain is this somethink to do with being pregnant or somethink tottaly diffrent its been like this for the last week or so i dont go to see my midwife till the 2ed april

I just got diagnosed with gestational diabetes. So... now what? I meat with a dietician/nutritionalist on Tuesday. What should I expect? What are the risks for me and my baby? I heard it increases the risk of preeclampsia... which I am already at risk of. I see my doctor on Wednesday so I will be asking her too.. just wanted some opinions for now. Thanks

for the past 3 days i have been having bowel movements 4 times a day is this normal? plus my whole entire stomach aches and my stomach feels rock solid. sometimes it feels tender to touch. is this normal or am i going into labor

i asked this question last night , and really didnt get an answer so ill try to ask it again. im due march 15th, which was yesterday, they moved my due date from the 25th of march to the 15th. yesterday i was having 5 min apart contractions but at labor and delivery , they sent me home because they wernt strong enough for them to consider it "labor". i went to my regular ob appointment and i was a "tight" 3 cm dilated, 50 % effaced and a -1 station. i asked her if she could rupture my membranes and she wouldnt because i have Strep B, but she did irritate/aggrivate my cervix. i asked her why she did that instead and she said it would make me contract more. she also said i would bleed a little and in fact i did. ive already lost my mucous plug a loooooong time ago, but since she did that , my contractions have stopped. im just so confused. has anyone ever had their cervix irritated/aggrivated on purpose by the doc, and if so , what was the outcome, did you go into labor, how long after ?

I live in California. I am afraid that I might lose my job and health insurance before I have the baby. Does anyone know anything or every been on Medi-Cal? If so how did it work? Or are there any other options in California for pregnant women with no health coverage? Any information will be helpful and thanks!

I am 20 weeks pregnant and yesterday had lower abdominal cramping - I also felt it in my upper thighs. I thought I had maybe just done too much (like pick up my toddler), so I thought it would be better this morning. Well, the abdominal pain is gone, but I still have the thigh/leg pain. Is this normal? Has anyone ever experienced this? Any solutions to relieve the pain?

I'm scared ... I'm pregnant and my dad said at first that he is going to beat my *** if I am... But then he said a couple days later that he would be supportive of me and he wouldn't let the father (my boyfriend) come around me or the baby but my boyfriend said that he would take really good care of the baby and of me!!!! What should I DO?????

she feels only 2-3 movements in a day. Its from starting. Doctors have done every test and says baby is fully developed and heart rate/pulse are 100% normal. Doctors also says baby is ok health wise. Today they performed ultrasound & biophysical test. These are also normal. But movements are not upto the mark. Only 2-3-4 movements in a day. Please suggest... (serious answers only)

Is it normal to feel depressed and feel like your not ready for a baby? I did want to get pregnant, but now that I am pregnant, I feel like I shouldve waited better and I get even more depressed because of my boyfriend? I dont even know if I want to be with him forever.. Iam 10 dpo, feel like Iam going to get my period even though not due untill wens. sick to my stomach this morning took a hpt within one min. VERY faint line had to hold to light to see it better. What do you think?

Yay! We heard the baby's heart beat yesterday! It was so amazing. Couldn't see the baby clearly, cause he/she's too small yet, but saw the heart beat. Now my question is, 122 bpm, the technician says this is normal, anyone else had the same? :) Thanks!

Today is my hubby's birthday and I wanted to surprise him w/ news that I'm pregnant (I don't know for sure but feel strongly that I am). We've been trying but it's too soon for a home pregnancy test to show it. I have a 28 day cycle and ovulated on the 10th (last Saturday). I read somewhere that a blood test would pick it up around a week after so I made an apt w/ my doctor to have a blood test done (yesterday). I went in and his nurse told me to go ahead and go to the lab first. I did, where the lady handed me a cup. I told her I requested a "blood" test and that I could do that at home. She went to ask my doctor and his reply was, "it's just as accurate" and told her to tell me, if I had a problem to go talk to him.
I just got (very) frustrated and left.

I know they are both accurate (which is what I told the lady) but I thought the blood would show it sooner. Am I wrong??


Also, I never saw the doctor but paid my $20 co-pay- for nothing. Should I just wait to see if he actually bills me & my insurance company for the office visit? If so, should I call my insurance company and tell them not to pay it? Should I ask the business office for my $20 back? It's only $20 and the money isn't the issue, it just made me very angry and frustrated. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

My dr perscribed me with prenatals and i haven't taken my first one yet b/c i just got them. i am a first time pregnant mom to be, so i must ask! They perscribed me with MAD i believe..idk i'm trying to find it on the outside of the bag now, thats all i see...What should i expect from these? i hear of alot of women getting sick off of their prenatals and i'm afraid i might too! so i just want to be prepared before i take them!

Ok, I posted like a week and a half ago because I had a really abnormal (for me) period. It was light (steady flow, not spotting) and it was off and on. Days 21-23 of my usually 30 day cycle I was lightly spotting (only visable when I wiped, pinkish/brownish), and my breasts have been so sore for weeks now! I took a hpt a week ago that was negative, one today that was invalid, and I'm due to start my period on the 21st. Either my body is doing something funky because of stress, or could I be pregnant? (Yes, I have had unprotected sex, or I wouldn't ask) I didn't have "implantation bleeding" with my daughter, or my 2 losses after her (last loss was 4 years ago). Could that be what the 3 day spotting was? I'm actually hoping I'm pregnant, because if not, I'm afraid there could be something terribly wrong.. any suggestions/advice?

After my daughter was born, I swelled so much i couldn't look myself in the mirror or put my new slippers on. I am thinking of not having epidural this time because I really want to be "all there" - maybe I won't swell up again?? it was horrible...

My beginning of my last cycl was Jan 24 and I should be 8 wks pregnant. But I have been bleeding since week 5 and had cramping early on but am just lightly but steadily bleeding now. They thought I was miscarrying did ultrasound found nothing did blood hcg was 80. 4-5 days later another ultrasound nothing bloodwork 180. Four days later bloodwork 355. They thought it was ectopic went to ob/gyn yesterday and she doesnt think its ectopic.Ultrasound again still nothing. Im getting scared and docter thinks its inevitable for a miscarriage but isnt 100% sure. Docter ordered more bloodwork, might get results back today. Anybody got any insight or experience?

I am 7 months pregnant and have this huge craving for hotdogs but I have heard people say that you're not supposed to eat them during pregnancy because they can be harmful. People I know ate hotdogs while they were pregnant and their babies turned out just fine.
What's the scoop? Does anyone know?
