Yay! We heard the baby's heart beat yesterday! It was so amazing. Couldn't see the baby clearly, cause he/she's too small yet, but saw the heart beat. Now my question is, 122 bpm, the technician says this is normal, anyone else had the same? :) Thanks!

A normal heartrate for a fetus is 120-160 bpm. Congratulations!!! There's nothing like seeing your baby on the screen for the first time, even though it just kind of looks like a kidney bean!! My first reading was in the 140's - they say a lower heart rate means its going to be a boy!!

yes that's a good heartrate, it starts out even lower when the heart starts beating around the beginning of the 6th week, and it will increase a bit more in the next few weeks. Congratulations on your pregnancy :) Feel free to IM me with any questions

Not me i'm 7 weeks tomorrow and we have not yet had the greatness you have of hearing the heart beat yet. usually you can not hear the heart beat until the baby is about 8-16 wks i believe...:) lol so you are one of the very few and lucky that is able to hear the heart beat already! i saw the heart beat at 8 weeks. it was 141 bpm

I remember it being 113 with my daughter first ultrasound and am prego now and this baby's was 166 at 7weeks. 168 at 11 and 13 weeks. Both were considered normal.

Normal heartrates are from 120-160...slower heartbeats are usually boys. My son stayed anywhere from 130-140

Defintley.....I have three boys and when we heard our First Child's heart beat we were just so amazed as well......Babies heart beat tend to beat alot more faster than ours and every doctor will same thats normal.....
Don't panic or be nervous, just enjoy every little moment.....

my son's heartbeat was 132 at 6 weeks, normal (isnt that fast!?) The heartbeat is so beautiful isnt it?! CONGRATS AND GOOD LUCK WITH EVERYTHING!
