the baby could be lying in a position that causes pressure on you sciatic (spelling?) nerve. this used to happen to me a lot and sometimes my leg would give way. check with your GP just to make sure there are no other underlying causes

there is a problem called Pubis Dysfunction that some pregnant women suffer from.. my sister had problems with it during her 3rd pregnancy... basically, it's where the ligaments that hold the pelvic bones together loosen too much, and can cause pains in the pelvic & thigh area. if this is what u are suffering from, i'm sorry to say that it gets worse as your pregnancy progresses, due to your baby growing and putting extra pressure on your pelvis. go see your midwife or doctor, don't wait for your next appointment. it's the only way u will know for sure whether or not u are suffering from this problem, or if it's something like a trapped nerve. good luck.

Girl-I have had 3 myself. I was in so much pain with my last one-if I rolled over in bed I screamed in pain! It will be over soon-I had pain in my back-groin-legs! I think the pains were progressively worse with each pregnancy! I called the doc because I didn't know how I would make it until delivery without a wheel chair! He just recommended Advil!-and he laughed b/c I begged him to induce my labor! If the pain is kinda like achy cramps in your upper legs-it could be contractions. Sometimes my contractions would radiate into my upper legs. It is just a huge strain on your body-I don't think it is anything serious. Use your best judgement-you can always call the doc and ask questions! Good luck and I feel for ya!

Book an earlier appointment, explain that you have some concerns that need to be addressed before April 2nd just to be on the safe side. Good Luck.

If its around your groin are then its probably your muscles, ligaments getting ready for the birth. They become flexible to enable the birth.
I got that with mine and I could hardly walk it was so painful. Doesnt last for long though

Hi

i have the same problem. when i walk the top of my LEFT leg hurts like mad, burns and cant wlk any further. My MW refered me to physio and she gave me a support belt to wear (dont worry goes uinder your clothes) and it helps loads. just be careful not to sit funny or strain yourself when getting in and out cars, off chairs etc.

Call and make an extra appointment with your mw.

feel free to email

If you speak to you midwife she will tell you it is called Simfis Pubis, I had twice with my 2nd and 4th pregnancy. Its to do with you pubic bone and the weight of your baby on the bone. She will adise you what to do and will probably refer you to phisio who will give you excersises to do and a belt. WEAR the belt it really helps especially if your on your feet for a while. It should get better. lol and geed luck

Yes, I had that when I was pregnant. It can be quite uncomforatble & will probably last until you've had your baby. you can take paracetamol for pain when you're pregnant but it's probably best to sit down when it starts playing up - or as soon as you can. Good luck.

Could be sciatic pain from the sciatic nerve.
