Pregnancy - January 2007

Im looking on my hospitals website under find a physician and i type in obstertrics as the specialty. When a list of doctors come up it shows info on them and some of them it says there specialty is something differtent from an ob/gyn. but its still under the obstetricians search results. does this mean they are not obstetricians or is it just there OTHER specialty? Im confused.

Hello guys! just want to tell you that I feel so stressed. That I don't know what to do anymore. I was on the emergency room 2 days ago because I have been spotting for 2 days(hCg level were 1360). This morning when I woke up and went to the bathroom I passed a small/medium blood clot and something white. (mucous or saliva) So I hurry to the emergency room thinking that I had a miscarriage. They did HCg test again and this time it was 1471. It didn't go up by much. It's supposed to duplicate every 2 days. it didn't. The dr. said that this could lead to a miscarriage. because my hcg level are not duplicating. I'm still spotting, I dont' have to wear a pad. I just see it when I use the bathroom. is there still hope for me? even thought my hcg level are not rising. they did a trasvaginal u/s and they say that they see a sac but its too early to see anything else. can you please give me your most honest advice? how long does a miscarriage take to happen? I need help.pls!!!!

My gf won't use birth control because she thinks that it has an effect on her when she really wants a baby, like making her infertile. Anyone know if this is true cuz condom blows haha

It sorda feels like a headache, but in my stomach. On the right of my belly button. Its not severley painful, but it does hurt. I go to the Doctor Tuesday. But for now does anyone know any reason for this, is this normal?

Do you continue the pregnancy with the stillborn child? I know that in this case with a single child, your body often goes into labor on it's own - does this also happen in the instance of one (or more) surviving multiple?

I have been dating my boyfriend for 2 1/2 years. I am 18... we have never had sex because we want to wait till marriage, but we have done other things. Can I get pregnant from him rubbing up against me and maybe his precum getting in me or something? I know this may sound stupid but I have no idea.. I am three days late for my period. Also how long does it take to have the symptoms of being pregnant.

My doctor has recomended I get theses shots once a week to prevent preterm labor 17 alpha hyydroxy progestrone. Wonder if there is any side effects to me or the baby. If it really works . If it makes you go overdue? Anyyy info is helpful

Do you have to have needles in you alot when your pregnant(taking blood ect) I hate?
having my blood taken and I passed out completely last time they did it. I especially hate that they have to take it from inside my elbow instead of somewhere like my leg . I have a huge fear of it and I just want to know if they really take your blood that much in pregnancy or do anything else that involves needles(except epidural)

i have had what i thought to be contrcations every ten mins since four this morning went to the hospital i am not dilaited yet and the contractions are braxton hixs. However they are so painfull now that i have cried with one, i cant talk,walk or move with them.i also get a shooting pain and a pressure pain in my bottom. Midwife said labor is not untill you have three in ten mins i am still only having one. Is braxtons that strong or is this not normal.?

I've been put on bedrest because I have high blood pressure. I'm 34 weeks PG and I'm a little concerned as to what can be brought on by this.

Could I get toxemia or pre-eclampsia this late in pregnancy from high blood pressure?

Could I go into premature labor and what else could happen?

I am 29 weeks pregnant and my Ultrasound from 28 weeks showed the baby wieghing only 1 3/4lbs in the 34th percentile. Anyone know what that means or any where I could get some more imformation? All I know is that, that is kind of small for 28 weeks

the results came up negative....i had "protected" sex exactly 1 week ago....the day i had sex was the last day of my period...are the results accurate because i saw on tv it says take it a couple days b4 your missed period but i was so stressed and i needed to know!!! please give me some advice

My girlfriend and I have been going out for three months now, and she just got on birtcontrol. We are wanting to do it soon, but she said I have to use a condom still. Finally we came to an agreement that if I got tested I wouldn't have to use one, and now she is back to saying I have to all the time until we get married, (I hate rubbers, I've used them before, but hate using them). i missed my periond for 3 months and when i went 2 take a urine test it came out negative which by the way i took 3 times sooo three months later still havent had a period which this never happened 2 me before but i went to da hospital they gave me a ultra sound ,blood test and a another urine sample and it all showed up normal and negative but 2 weeks after i visit the hospital i started 2 bleed and it was very abnormal and it continued for 5-7 months straight and then it stopped my periond is back to normal i just don't under stand what happened
