Hello guys! just want to tell you that I feel so stressed. That I don't know what to do anymore. I was on the emergency room 2 days ago because I have been spotting for 2 days(hCg level were 1360). This morning when I woke up and went to the bathroom I passed a small/medium blood clot and something white. (mucous or saliva) So I hurry to the emergency room thinking that I had a miscarriage. They did HCg test again and this time it was 1471. It didn't go up by much. It's supposed to duplicate every 2 days. it didn't. The dr. said that this could lead to a miscarriage. because my hcg level are not duplicating. I'm still spotting, I dont' have to wear a pad. I just see it when I use the bathroom. is there still hope for me? even thought my hcg level are not rising. they did a trasvaginal u/s and they say that they see a sac but its too early to see anything else. can you please give me your most honest advice? how long does a miscarriage take to happen? I need help.pls!!!!

You're only spotting! Its quite normal. and your levels ARE rising. Thats a good sign.

At this point all you can do is RELAX and wait it out.

Ive known a few women who actually BLEED, full on clotting period bleeding for months and have healthy babies even though. Spotting is really pretty common. Clots arent, but its certainly not a cause at this point to call it lost.

Just relax and wait until you're next HCG level check.

Boy can I relate. I still get anxiety attacks thinking back to my third pregnancy. I'd had a miscarriage with the second one, so was very nervous and vigilant about the third. I started spotting around the 4th week too. They didn't do many ultrasounds in those days (my son is now 22 years old), but did one at 5 weeks. They noted that the placenta was slightly covering the cervical opening, so every once in awhile, I'd bleed from the placenta.

The gyn told me whenever I had bleeding, I should get off my feet for 24 hours. That was so tough, with an 18 month old in the house! But I did as he said. I continued to have little bleeding episodes for another 3 months, then they stopped. That was because the uterus got bigger and "pulled" the placenta up enough so it was not covering the cervical opening anymore. He was born a little early, but healthy and beautiful!

Having had a miscarriage, all I can say is that Nature will take its course, and although there are a few things you can do to reduce the risk (bed rest, no heavy lifting), there are reasons why we suffer miscarriages. Very often it's because there is a problem with the fetus and it isn't viable. That's what happened with me...I'd had the flu at a bad time in the pregnancy, which caused the fetus to "die". Had it been born, it would have had severe disabilities, if it survived.

All you can do is take care of yourself, hope for the best, have a little bag packed and a plan for if you do have to get to the ER quickly. I wish you luck and hope it all works out for you.

I had a brownish, sometimes red discharge for most of my pregnancy. I did have a gush of blood around 5-6 weeks. I went to the ER and they basically sent me home to miscarry within the next few days, it never happened. The next week, I went to my doctor. He did a sonogram and was never able to see anything wrong or that might be causing the discharge. I carried her to full term, never knew why this happened. I know with a miscarriage you would be cramping a lot. Try not to stress (I did say try), it is in God's hands (miscarriages happen because there is a problem with the baby). I will say a prayer for you.

i had a miscarriage 3 years ago, i spotted for a few days and b/c it was a holiday i didn't get in to see the dr, (there nothing they can do at 1st your body will takes it course they said) it was never a lot of blood though finally about 4/5 days later i woke up in the middle of the night crying in so much pain (the worst cramping i have ever experienced worse than when i was in labor ), then 2 days later i went to the dr. and I had miscarried but it hadn't happened fully and the dr had to pull the rest of it out (extremely painful). so it doesn't happen right away all the time. my body never fully went through it on its own.
so good luck to you

I'm sorry but that does not sound good. Slight spotting is normal during pregnancy but clots and your seeing something white is not normal. Your body could be aborting the pregnancy because something is wrong. Sometimes in a pregnancy an actual fetus does not form but instead it is just a clump of cells and tissue that take on no human form and in those situations the body rejects the pregnancy within weeks or a few months. Take care of yourself though and eat healthy and get plenty of rest and let nature take its course. I'm not a doctor though.. so have him/her keep close watch. I know it's disheartening but at this point I hope you realize that it probably was not an actual fetus but under developed cells that are just tissue... you are perfectly capable of having a healthy pregnancy later on.

Hey, isn't it frustrating not knowing what is happening, but you know what.My mom had 2 periods even when she was pregnant by me. When it stopped and she started wondering whether she may be pregnant or not, she was 4 months. A little spotting can't hurt, I of course can't promise you you'll carry out the pregnancy, that depends on some many factors, but it happens more often and women still have wonderful babies.

Oh honey, this must be so hard for you! I went through so much stress and worry during my pregnancy, and everything was fine even though he was four weeks early. I really don't know if you will miscarry or not, but I would stay real close to a hospital, even if it means moving in with friends. until things stabilize. If you do miscarry, get grief counseling. people don't understand losing an unborn baby is the same as lsing a born one.

There is no set time for a miscarriage. You need to try and reliever your stress!!!!!! Your stress will greatly effect this problem. I do not know all the details,,,, just continue to go to the doctor,,,,, but concentrate on lowering your stress!!!!! Try mediataion, or activities you enjoy,,,, I know it is easy to say,,, but you must not worry about it,,, worrying will cause the stress that can lead to a miscarriage. Do you have a husband/boyfriend that is supportive? Have him or a family member help you in areas of your life that can help you relax...... need a massage?

There are many different reasons that a woman may have vaginal bleeding during pregnancy. Some women can continue to have light periods or spotting during pregnancy, especially during the first few months. A pregnancy test would probably help to ease your mind. A visit to your practitioner may also be in order, either for early pregnancy care or to find out the reasons for your symptoms.
