As a mother of 3, I suggest you have your bags ready now, cause just because you are due Feb 5th doesn't mean the baby will wait until then. Better to be prepared early than too late.

It's always a good idea to have your bag ready, you can never predict what is going to happen. Wouldn't you rather be prepared rather than running around at the last minute throwing things in a bag? Let me suggest a couple things for you bag that most people don't think to bring... 1)chapstick!!! Your lips will get dry with all those breathing exercises. 2) Bottled water for your hubby- the nursing staff is there to get you water but not there to fetch things for him! 3) Crackers- they don't let you eat anything and it's nice to sneak a cracker or two every once in a while! Good luck and I wish you the best!

I think now is a good time. You never know when your gonna go into labor, it is very smart to get it ready now, at least pack it with the basics. Remember to pack something for your partner too... Poptarts and Sodas where key in keeping my hubby going through the whole thing. I was so happy he had them, and he didnt have to stop and venture down to the vending machines, you should pack some coins for cold drinks though... it is a wonderful treat for a laboring husband... lol. They do go through so much, and I know they really appreciate the fact that you thought of them during such a crazy time. Good luck, and hope everything go's smooth.

I would have my bags packed for both of you at least 2 weeks before your due date. I had my bags packed 2 weeks before and it was a good thing b/c I went to my appt. on the Thursday before my due date and the next day I had my daughter. Good luck with the baby.

Now! You never know what can happen, you may deliver early. I have always said that I would have my bag ready early cuz I don't want to be one of those people that are running around while in labor trying to pack my bag.

honestly, i would get it ready soon, because my due date is feb 8th and i went to the doc yesterday and my doc said that im not gonna make it to my due date, that my cervix was already thinning and i was dialateing, she was saying that i was progressing so fast that she wants me to stop doing alot of walking because she wants me to try and wait until at least the 10th. so it can sneak up on you, i would just say to pack it now, better to be ready then not you know. good luck..

The sooner you're prepared - the better. Some things you may not be able to pack now, so make a list of those things and keep them close at hand for when the time comes.

Now is a good time. If you don't have a copy of "What to Expect When You Are Expecting", try to borrow it from the library. It gives you everything in detail what you need to do every step of the way. I thought I had time and my son came a month early!Who knew?
