just go with the flow, the first trimester i was also exhausted so rest when you can, the body obviously needs to. the 2nd trimester is the best, you have much more energy and morning sickness etc usually stops, and it is before you feel like a beached whale! good luck, enjoy!

You may feel like you aren't doing much, but your body is doing a lot. It's hard work to grow a baby. Don't worry about it. Just make sure that you are eating the right things and the right amounts. Pregnancy is not a time to pig out just because you are feeding two. Also, if you are physically active, like walking, swimming or pregnancy exercise, you will have a better and easier delivery. Rest when you are tired and take a walk when you can. The fatigue will go away, usually by the end of your first trimester. Congratulations!

Hi, this is very normal. The good news is that you will find your self with more energy as you get closer to your second trimester...
Also a note on why feeling "yucky" is goodness... I have had several first tri miscarriages and in both cases, I started feeling LESS TIRED after that initial hit of the "lazies"... This was my first indication that something was wrong btw... So while this might sound mean, I rejoice in you being tired... It means that your body is doing the things (building up more blood, nourishing baby etc) that it should be doing.
Good Luck!

It is unexplainable because your whole body is focused on this foreign thing in your body. Until your body and hormones recognizes it you will continue to feel that way. Sister is going through the same thing. Things to help fruit, ginger in any form, any natural food that gives you energy. It really works. Read books, do puzzles books anything to stimulate your mind. It's not being lazy, life is being produced that's why God rested after making man. Enjoy the experience.

I feel very much the same. I have to conserve all my energy when it's time to work or go to school, and then to pretend im awake and feeling fine? It's rough. I honestly wish I had the energy to shower more often lol.. I'm going to go take a bath now. Taking a break from the couch and my Popsicles feels like torture.

Very normal. Your body is doing a lot of work making another person. You should perk up in the second trimester. Congrats and good luck.

It could also be Anemia. With this pregnancy I am very fatigued and always sleepy. When my tests came back, I had very low iron levels. I am taking Proferrin-Forte iron pills and feel much better and active again.

I was tired when I was pregnant, but also working two jobs and going to school part-time. Honestly, if you lay around and eat and sleep all day you are going to gain too much weight. Try exercising and you will feel much more alert and have more energy. Also, labor is not fun and you will want to be in top shape for it. Start now.
Hey now, why the thumbs down??? I'm only being straight up honest. Really, who wants to gain 50 pounds and look like a beached whale by 9 months???

Totally normal. During this time, you NEED to sleep and eat. Don't worry about it. You'll get your energy back soon enough!
