I started to have braxton hix contractions at 20 weeks like sometimes more than 4 an hour my stomach would get real hard and sometimes i felt like i had to go number two so I was really scared and went to the hospital. They checked my cervix ran a whole bunch of test and said they didnt know what was causing them and said they were to early to start. I kept having them and went back two different times and they coulndt figure it out. They just kept saying it is to early to be braxton hix. but i never had trouble sleeping thru the night. They never hurt that bad that they woke me up. Well I am 30 weeks and I dont have them as much as I did before I went for a whole month without really having any. How The doctor told me to figure out the differnece between real and fake is to walk around if it gets worse it is prob real. I mean alot worse. Sometimes when i stand up it will feel tighter but it will release but it is not more painful.Hope this helps cause I was so nervous for the whole month from weeks 20 to 24 because they told me my baby wouldnt survive untill atleast 24 weeks the worse month ever because i didnt know what was going on.

Braxton Hicks Contractions are normal in this time of your pregnancy. As long as they don't become painful or anything I wouldn't worry. It's the baby shifting and moving. They might come and go up till the time you deliver unfortunately.

Just be really careful because I had contractions at 7 and a half months and they sent me into early labour. I am not trying to scare you or anything but just be cautious

The doc is correct. Prepare your body by doing certain vaginal excerises, research it. I know it feels funny but it will probably be throughout. The baby is responding to whats going on outside in your enviroment. Vagina muscles are preparing. Easy birth for you. May your family be blessed.

my friend had them, they'll come and go. It's not actually contractions... I can't remember what they are called but it's nothing that you have to worry about, but if you are then just go to your doc, they'll be happy to help you
