My gf won't use birth control because she thinks that it has an effect on her when she really wants a baby, like making her infertile. Anyone know if this is true cuz condom blows haha

It's not true. I was on the birth control pill for 7 years and got pregnant 2 months after I stopped it.

Every woman reacts to the pill differently but I don't recall hearing it making anyone infertile.

BUT, I want to warn you that the pill is NOT 100% sure birth control. I got pregnant while on the pill and I never forgot to take one...

the only effect some of them have is it takes you a little longer to get pregnant after you stop taking them. They do not make you infertile. If she gets on the pill make sure she takes it everyday at the same time. Skipping one or taking it really late is not good, I know, I got pregnant that way.

She won't have a problem getting pregnant once she's married and ready to conceive. But the pill can fail. Condoms are never a bad idea.

I don't know about affects on a future pregnancy, but there are medical risks for her while on birth control, such as the risks of blood clots and stroke. This is something to discuss with a doctor.

the pill will not affect future fertility. Depo-provera shots can cause problems.
