It really depends on the person. I went from 1-3 in half an hour, but never went any farther, resulting in a c-section. Walking and all that is great, the whole gravity thing is a real help, just walk and be patient... being calm helps everything relax and open. Good luck!

I went from a 1 to a 10 in 16 hours but I was being induced.

It took me 5 hours to get from 1 to 6 then only 1/2 an hour to get to 10 and then she was out within 2 hours.

I was at one centimeter for a coupe days, then my water broke at noon one day and it took me til 10 AM the next morning to get to 5 centimeters. At that point they gave me an epidural, and I relaxed and fell asleep for 3 hours. Woke up fully dialted, started pushing a couple minutes later and 45 minutes later my son was born!

I was at one centimeter about two weeks before I went into labor. When labor started, I was at two centimeters. In about 3 hours, I was at 10, or fully dilated. But, I had a very quick and easy delivery.

I was at a 3 from 7 months til delivery, and then it took 26 hours of labor to push him out!

with my first i was at 2 cm when i was induced and it took me 4 hours to go from a 2 to a 10. with my 2nd i was already at a 4 cm when i was induced from the time the DR poped my water it took me an hour in a half to go from a 4 to a 10......with no drugs!!!
