When I was pregnant, I was told to report ANY bleeding to my doctor immediately. If you are that far along, I would get medical attention as soon as possible. But, I wouldn't be too concerned about it because that may be your mucous plug. When a woman is pregnant, the body makes a mucous plug to protect the cervical opening. It is expelled when the woman is getting close to delivering. It may appear as a cloudy blood clot thing.

searched the net to try and help and found this....please look after yourself and get checked out ASAP

Did you have intercourse prior to the spotting incidents? During pregnahcy, your vagina is very "hyperemic" and bleeds easily if rubbed. It is common to have some spotting after sex. If you did not have intercourse, and continue to have spotting, you should get a sonogram to see if there are any abnormalities with the placenta (placenta previa or abruption). If the placenta is normal and the sonogram shows that all is fine, you need not worry. Of course, at 30 weeks we also have to make sure that you are not having preterm labor. If you start to have any contractions that occur more than every 10 minutes or last more thn 30 seconds at a time, call your doctor. (The sonogram will also see if the cervix is shortening or dilating).

It depends on a couple of things. Is it red blood, pink, or brown? Sometimes sex, doctor's exam, or even over exertion can cause you to spot. Most of the time it's a brownish color. Not to worry. If the bleeding is bright red, and you start cramping, call your Dr. immediately. Otherwise, have a drink of water, put your feet up and relax. If you continue to just spot, but it is accompanied by a lot of mucus, call your doctor to check in. That could be your mucus plug.

Some peolpe bleed during pregnancy, and it normally leads to nothing, however next time you are at your midwife you should mention this as she will know what may be wrong.Sometimes a small scratch to yourself aswell may seem like it has come from somewhere else.If it gets any heavier i would seek advice staight away.I have had spotting through all 3 of my pregnancies which tuned out to be nothing.

please be careful, any kind of spotting should be checked out by your midwife. could be that your just over doing it a bit and need to slow down but i began bleeding at 28 weeks pregnant and ended up in hospital for 10 weeks.

this is the extreme senareo, but i had placenta previa which meant my placenta was lying under my baby. i kept bleeding which is why they kept me in. but im glad to say i have a beautiful 12 year old daughter now who is still trouble !! take care and i hope you have a lovely next 10 weeks

If it is only a small amount of blood then most likely it is nothing. Have you had sex recently? That usually caused a very small amount of bleeding for me. If you continue to have blood or you begin to cramp call your OB.

I have had four children of my own and my opinion is go to your doctor and get yourself checked immediately. I can't say if you have anything to be worried about but it's best to be safe.Good luck!
