Yes. I had few symptoms when I first was pregnant. If the hospital did the tests, though, I would imagine that you are not pregnant, especially with an ultrasound and the fact that you are bleeding. The best sort of ultrasound is intravaginal in the beginning in which they put the probe inside to look. That's how they were able to see my son and hear his heartbeat at 6 weeks.

Were you on any type of birth control? If so, that may be the problem. Certain birth control methods, like the shot for example, can cause things like you've described. If not, it sounds, to me anyway, like it could be one of a few things. One, you could have had an obstruction inside of you that made things backup. Two, you may have been pregnant and miscarried. Three, you may want to be checked for some sort of cervical/ovarian problems. Abnormal bleeding and such can be a symptom of various uterine cancers. If you had all of those medical procedures done and they all came back negative, you can probably rule out being pregnant. I recommend that you speak to a doctor---because I'm not one. I've just heard of stuff like this before. Go check out WebMD.com and do a search on abnormal menstrual bleeding and see if you can track your symptoms down.

I have had that very thing happen. mine lasted 6 months. the doctors didn't know why, just said it was an imbalance & gave me pills to take on the 1st of every moth for 3 months to cause me to have a period while my body straightened its self out. They said it is very dangerous to have all that old blood stored inside you it can clot & all kinds of other bad things. SEE ANOTHER DOCTOR.

Maybe it's something more than pregnancy. You should see your doctor to find out if there is something wrong. I think bleeding for 5-7 months is a little extreme. Get it checked out.

No you cannot fail the urine or blood test, it shows the hormone level, even if you were to miscarry it would still show signs of elevated Hormone levels
