OB/GYN is what they complete their residency in.
From that point, they can choose to specialize in a narrower field of study, like Reproductive Endocrinology or Urogynecology.
But they are still qualified OB/GYNs.
Hope that helps.

It might be that obstetrics is another specialty of theirs. I was looking for a GYN and went through my insurance's website. When I found one, I made an appointment later to find out that the doctor I thought was a Gynocologist was actually a fertility specialist. She said that before she specialized in fertility, she specialized in Gynocology. I've learned that those sites aren't always accurate. I tried to get the number to an OB/GYN and the number provided on the site was incorrect.
Good luck!

Depends on what the specialty says. It could be a special area of OB such as dealing with high risk moms, infertility doc or something like that.
Best way to find out is to call the doc's office and ask what his/her credentials are.

If it says FACOG, that means they have special ob/gyn certification. It is in addition to being an ob/gyn.
Tell us what the specialties are so we know what we are talking about if it is something else.

hi nicely i became instructed which you get a inner examination once you first circulate and notice the surgeon or midwife once you first circulate, yet I asked at here some cases and a few human beings regularly from the US say that they had internals wheras maximum human beings interior the united kingdom say you dont might desire to. So i became too panicking slightly and that i'm helpful i'll might desire to have one finally, however the apprantly it says interior the fairway e book you get that inner examintions are actually not usually given now, its basically supply in all probability in case you have something incorrect with issues if that branch, yet for sure we can might desire to have one finally as quickly as we circulate into labour and afterwards. I dont comprehend climate it relies upon on how far alongside you're, i comprehend they might insert somthing into you while you're early on, yet in case you have not have been given any problems until now the 12 weeks like no threatened misscarge and so on then the test you have at 12 weeks would be sufficient to work out what they might desire to. My mum stated they gave internals a while in the past as there have been no scans then, yet each the place is distinctive, i became only arranged for something as quickly as I went and became anticipating something, apprantly they used to furnish internals to work out how far alongside you have been, yet there no nesscary now. So solutions I had have been asserting that in the event that they supply you internals early on in being pregnant and additionally you miscarry then that would desire to be the reason or something, that's why in case you being pregnant is healthful as much as nicely known they dont supply you one.

Alot of times, Doctors have more than one specialty. I have an endocrinologist/internalist, but he is only listed as one. They can only fit so much on those websites. Call the office and ask.

Isn't obstetrics JUST for prenatal care and delivery, while obstetrics/gynocology is for that plus all the gyno stuff too?
