I wanted a baby so bad and now that I am pregnant I just cant believe it. I am ssoooooo happy. What is going to go wrong now this is too good to be true.

At 16 weeks pregnant my belly has really started to show and became harder. For the past few days though I have started to feel stretching and have felt the baby move quite a bit but my stomach doesn't look as big as it was and feels not quite as solid I dont think. Other than that I still feel great and am glowing, have developed sciatica again though over the past few days. I know it may sound silly but I am quite worried, would I know this far on if something was wrong?

It's getting OUT OF CONTROL. I was drinking ginger ale in a wine glass at a company party and someone freaked out on me..thinking it was white wine....I went to my parents house and had gorgnzola on a burger and brother's girlfriend freaked out on me ( though my doctor said it was fine in moderation) and I asked my friend and her boyfriend to come bowling with me and my husband and her response was " Ashley, you shouldn't be bowling, it's not safe, too much weight for you to pick up"....EVERYONE seems to think they know what's best for me and I can't stand it, ESP when they haven't been pregnant themselves...they think because they've had a few friends that are pregnant, they know everything there is to know....Wine, Deli meats, hygiene etc.etc.etc. If my husband tells me to "go for a walk" or "take a nap" again, I'm changing the locks...

How did you MOMS deal with it? WHat do I say? "actually, you're wrong" - sorry to vent....

I am dissapointed to find out that my wife is having a girl..I saw myself having a first born son. But I will love the little girl of course. I was wondering what everyone else hoped for? Was anyone initially dissapointed?

I am 37 Weeks pregnant and everything I have read about labor says that if you have contractions and walk they should get stronger my question is what if your contractions start when ever you get up to walk or to use restroom is that labor or just cramps?

Now I'm having cramps....not really bad ones, and no bleeding, spotting or discharge. But I'm concerned. This is my third pregnancy, I've never experienced these symptoms before. First doctors appointment on this coming monday. any advice?

I had sex the day after my period(1/12/07).Twice a day for three days.I have been pregnant before and had a miscarriage. I feel like I felt than weird, sick, out of place and a lot more discharge then usually.Could I be pregnant? I can't take a test it would be to early.

I am 1week and 1day late but today i have experienced some bleeding. it strted off very light but has become a bit heavier goin onto my pad. however i have never been late before. i took a test at 6days late and it came out negative. but im not sure if this is a light period or a heavier spot than usual??

So most of you told me to change dr's, when do i do this? My ultrasound is for the 28th of january and my ob appointment with this BAD ob is for jan 31st. On the 31st they are also doing the quad screening, so should i stick it out for these things and then change my ob? or should i cancel my 31st appointment with him and try to get a new dr before then? Thanks so much for all the advice :)

I am 29 weeks with my first pregnancy and have had a lousy cold for the past week. My midwife, doctor and pharmasist have all told me that except for paracetamol there is nothing they would recommend taking for it as very little has been tested and declared safe for pregnant women.

I have all the usual cold symptoms; sore throat, hacking cough, bunged up nose and am getting even less sleep than usual.

Anyone out there got any tips or been through similar. I am also worried that all the coughing and sneezing will hurt the baby or the baby will ' catch' my stinking cold; so any reassurance from the sisterhood on this good too!

I had a blood test/screening and the down sydrome section I need to have retested. I am going in for a level 2 ultrasound tommorow I am very nervous. I have heard that a lot of women get false positives and my chances were 1/200 does anyone know anything or have any experience???

i lost my mucus plug at 37 weeks and dilated 2-3 centimeters and nothing is happening. I have heard a lot about stripping your membranes. Has anyone had this done? Why did the doctor choose to do this? And did you ask for it or the doctor decided for you?
