Pregnancy - January 2007

My boyfriend was sent to the emergency room last night and was diagnosed with Strep throat. The doctor also took blood saying that there was a high possibility that he also is sick with mono. We still have not recieve results on the blood test, but the doctor advises that I be seen by my doctor ASAP due to my pregnancy. While I am definitely going, I would like to know why it is viewed as an emergency-type of situation.

What are the possible effects to my unborn child?

I have 9 days until my due date. I have a Dr. appointment today, and I think I want to ask to be induced. At my appointment last week I was 3cm dilated and she stripped my membranes. I think I lost my plug over the weekend, but not many contractions. The only real reason I have to ask to be induced is that my first child came pretty quickly for a first time labor (9 hours), and I have heard that the second time around is about 1/2 that time. Plus, if I am starting out already this dilated, i'm afraid that I won't have enough time to get an epidural. Mainly I am just emotionally drained as all women are in their 9th month!! Thanks for you comments.

I ask because the hormones give you anxiety and stress.. yet the medication makes the babies go through withdrawl when born... so I refused the meds.. even though I feel anxiety and some depression...

Why is stress so bad? I was realy stressed in my fist pregnancy... and everything was fine. And life happens.. stress doesn't stop just becuase you are pregnant... People go on and on about stress when pregnant, and then you start to stress about 'am I stressing so much when pregnant'...?

I am 27 and about 8 weeks pregnant (unexpected) Although my boyfriend of 4 years and I are happy about it, my boyfriend, 33, is extremely nervous about it all. He worries about whether he will be a good father, husband , or provider and all that. I know its normal to go throuh this because I did too at first but it seems he hasn't been able to stop worrying so much. I try to reassure him that I know he will make a great father and husband but is there anything else I can do to calm his fears?

i have had weird feellings about this girl and then i went through his phone and found text messages they had written back and forth i asked him and he said they were just friends but i recently seen some pictures on my space of them two together at his work and the funny thing is they were taken the same day as my first ultra sound that he couldnt be at cause he was so busy at work i love him and im carrying his child but i dont know what to do please help

im 17.4 weeks pregnant and called to get my ultrasound changed from Feb 1st to Jan 28th, as i wont have insurance for the month of Feb, and at that time i will be 19.4 weeks pregnant, i was told by my dr that i wont be able to find out the sex because it will be to early. Which i know isnt true, hes been giving me problems since day one. Everytime i call and ask for a nurse they send me to the 3rd floor, where they take a message and get it up to 5th floor to his office, and his nurses call back if they feel like it. The first time i went, the office LOST my blood work. What do i do......im almost half way through my pregnancy, soooo do i put up with this jerkoff or change my OB/GYN. Hes a very respected ob in my town, dont ask me why.....I cant stand him anymore. What would you do?

I had a miscarriage in September and I still feel an overwhelming sense of grief. The babies father and I are no longer together and even though we are attempting to be friends he offers no support. I feel very alone. I think about and cry for the loss of my child daily. I just don't know what to do.

This will be my 1st child... however I had a m/c in April... Only 8 weeks.

I really thing I'm showing and I'm only 9 weeks 2days.

This is my story gona make it short so hopefully this helps. Well I was really undeceive about keeping this baby was gona go threw the whole termination thing ( I know to much Info) But ya for those ladies that hate me for even thinking that I really don’t blame you but sometimes people just get into a predicament they need to get out of so anyways im deciding to keep my baby and I am already 21weeks pregnant now I want to know is it to late to take Prenatal Vitamins I know I should be asking my Dr. this but my first appt. is on the 31st so just to get a clue from you ladies k. I've got my 20 week scan next week and I am still totally stuck on whether I sdhould find out me and my b/f both keep changing our minds...
Reasons for finding out: Buy clothes and accessories, get used to the idea, pick a name, find out whether I need to decorate or not(room is already pink)
Reasons for not finding out: Suspense will keep pregnancy exciting, will be exciting finding out at birth, can still buy neutral stuff and pick out a name for each sex.

What do you think......

My boyfriend and i have been together for 3 years and im crazy about him, and i thought he felt the same about me. I have just found out that i am pregnant, and when i told him he said he didnt want it. We have always been careful and used birth control, so i think he is blaming me for getting pregnant! He says he still wants me but not "the burden" of a baby.. I refuse to abort my baby, but at the same time i dont want to lose what i have with my boyfriend. As far as im concerned we are both old enough (aged 23) and financially stable enough to have a baby so i cant see his problem! Would i be crazy to go ahead and have this baby even if it meant i would lose him and have to raise it on my own? I'd really appreciate any feedback...Thank you!

I have been having some lower pain in my adominal area.....I feel a pain ever once in a while....I go to the doc on the 23rd but I just want to see what some you guys have to say about it.......Sometimes my breast are really soar and there are times when they tingle.......Body is going thru a lot of differnt changes in the past few weeks.....Took two test they came back neg..but I think I took them to early really nasusa's and sick through the night

I am kind of shaken because I dont want them to find anything in my blood and then tell me I cant have the baby. I have been freaking out since I took those tests. I dont want to worry too bad cause I dont want to lose my baby, but is it normal to worry like this or is it just me. She told me no news is good news so I am freaking out that I will get that phone call. Some one please help me relax and chill out. I have been ttc for 4 years. Im also having sharp lower stomach pain and a tightening of the upper abdomen. I've lost lost my plug already. Does this sound like Braxton Hicks or real labor pain?
