What will the doc. do....what tests are done...AND DO I NEED A PRESCRIPTION FOR PRENATEL VITAMINS?

You may or may not need a prescription for vitamins. I bought some at the drug store & brought them with me for the doc to look at, she said they were fine. If your appointment is around the 12th week you may get to hear the heartbeat & have an internal ultrasound done. If it is earlier it may just be a meet & greet, how are you feeling type thing! You don't need a prescription for prenatels however, it's up to you and your doctor to decide what one is best for you. Sometimes, they say to go ahead and take the over the counter. Other times, they want you to take a prescription. It all depends on you.

they well do a pap test and feel your cervix and tell you how many weeks they think you are. they'll take your patient history and insurance info. and yes you do need a prescription.

maybe an ultrasound, wieght,b.p,pap smear, lab work, a bunch of paper work.
