Pregnancy - January 2007

Has anyone else out there had dreams of having twins and triplets and then find out that they are!? I keep having these dreams to where I go in to get my ultrasound done and they say it's either twins or triplets and one dream to where the twins were born and my sister also had a dream I was having twins! I know you are supposed to get some crazy dreams when you are pregnant but this is rediculous.

i am going to induce labour on 21st of january.
i like to start excersising right after that. can i? or should i wait a bit for my body to rest?

My friend of 4 (5th on the way) says she never payed any mind to the "expired" time. She said she would put a test away thinking that it was negative and went back to it the next day and read it was positive. And she was!

why in the h*ll does all of these 13 to 17 want a baby... I got pregnant at 17 and I told my friends... well all they could say was "you are so lucky... I want one... "stuff like that... well don't they know how much work it is... don't get me wrong I love my son... if I could change the past I wouldn't. but why do all of these teens think it will be "fun" o.k. i admit parts of it is fun but they don't think about all of the work.

My wife is 9 weeks pregnant, she hasn’t had bleeding or anything weird, but she has just been nauseated everyday from being pregnant.

At 8 weeks she had her first ultrasound and the baby was the perfect size and had a strong heartbeat. The doctor said everything looked great.

They called her today and said her blood work came back and everything looks normal and healthy.

Is it common to miscarry after having a healthy heartbeat, ultrasound and blood work? Wouldn’t her chances be low at this point (because everything is going perfect)?

This is our first baby and I am worried about my wife and the baby. We planned the baby and really want to be parents this year.

I am not ready to have a baby (money wise), I know that.

But ever month that comes around and my period comes I feel sad that I am not pregnant...

I take precautions so I don't get pregnant, but I still hold this faint hope. God, I know this sounds weird.

I just need to know if anyone feels the same way that I do, I need someone to relate to.

my boyfriend and i had sex using a condom. afterwards, he was laying on me and rubbed his penis on my vagina, although not going in again. i don't know if the sperm on his penis from the condom died yet, since i heard sperm dies when it touches the air, and his penis was dry when he rubbed it on my vagina/opening. it was probably about 15 minutes after sex that he did this. could rubbing his dry penis on me, since it wasn't washed still get me pregnant? any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

I just got home from the ER for being sick,,,I.E. no voice, congestion, vomiting. The said I have an Upper Respiratory Infection/Laryngitis. The only thing they didn't really address that worries me is will it be harmful to my baby? I would think it would since I cant really hold anything down. They prescribed me something called Z-Pac. I'm 18 weeks. I see my ob/gyn on the 31st. Do you think if I just keep plenty of fluids the baby will be okay?

I am 40 weeks and 4 days pregnant with my first. They plan on admitting me Friday morning at 8 a.m.(41 weeks) and attempting to soften my cervix, but I think they plan on sending me home saturday at 8 a.m. without administering pitocin or anything further. What's the sense in this?

I went to my midwife for my first prenatal appointment 1/3 and found out that my baby did not have a heartbeat. I was told that the baby stopped developing around 7 weeks. My midwife suggested that I wait to see if I naturally miscarried, but I didn't, and took misoprostol 1/14 to cause the miscarriage. Although physically I feel ok I am really depressed. I don't want to leave the house, I have disengaged from my family, friends and work. I am going to try to go in to work tomorrow, but I am dreading it. I am a teacher and need to present myself as a strong adult, but that's hard to do when all I feel like doing is crying. I feel like because so many women go through this and since I was only 7 weeks when the baby died I shouldn't be as deeply affected by this? I have a beautiful healthy 2 year old daughter and need to be strong for her. I have not had multiple miscarriages or anything, but I am scared to death that this will happen again. Does anyone have any suggestions?

its mine n my boyfriends 1st month of trying for a baby n therefore my 1st month off of the contraceptive pill. i know my periods will be ireglar n its unlikly il concieve for a few months but.. if my cycle was to b 28days (like it was b4 i went on the pill) i was due to get my period 3days ago..so i did a test y-day (2days late) n it was negative. Then this morning i noticed a very dark discharge which i thought may have been the start of my period.. bt since this small amount i havnt had n e thing else n i also havnt had the pains that i usually get with my period. can any one give me ideas as to what they think this could be/mean. My dr. wont do my 3d ultrasound until I am 28 weeks. He said it is because the baby only has 1% body fat and many soon to be mothers get scared. I found a spa just for pregnant women that will do them and I am getting it done on thursday. Has anyone else gotten one done at 18 weeks and could you see if you were having a boy or a girl?
