why in the h*ll does all of these 13 to 17 want a baby... I got pregnant at 17 and I told my friends... well all they could say was "you are so lucky... I want one... "stuff like that... well don't they know how much work it is... don't get me wrong I love my son... if I could change the past I wouldn't. but why do all of these teens think it will be "fun" o.k. i admit parts of it is fun but they don't think about all of the work.

Because they only have the maturity level of their age....When I was younger I thought having a baby would be such a breeze, that they would never cry, etc etc etc....What they need is to be put into someone elses shoes. Meaning, they need to take the place of a teen mother for one night overnight to realize that having a baby is not just fun and games. I was a single mom at 19 and I am pregnant with my second at 21, I wouldn't trade it for the world unless it was for one day to teach a teen that being a mommy is the hardest thing anyone could ever do!

Some think that way b/c either way some of my friend said b/c they would have someone to always love them. or they dont have nothing better to do and a baby would give them something to do. which i was almost 17 when i had my daughter and its hard. Teens just dont know how hard it really is and how much money , or work everything really is. then being a teen trying to stay in school work and having a baby plus like a babysitter and so much more to think about they dont think about all that they dont realize what they are wantting to get into until its to late sometimes.

i totally agree with you. i got pregnant when i was 16 and like you i wouldnt change the past even if i could. but to those girls that think it would be fun having a baby at a young age arent thinking about everything they will have to give up such as their own childhood. being a parent is fun but when they baby is teething or sick its really hard. so my advice to all those girls out there is live out your own childhood out before having a baby because after you have a baby everything changes.

They don't understand the seriousness nor do they care about the seriousness of it. My niece is 14 and has had more pregnancy tests than I have had with my 5 pregnancies all because she seems to be trying to get pregnant. We believe she's sneaking and having sex so her mom put her on the Depo shot. Better safe than sorry. I wish these teens were more educated on parenthood. They think pregnancy and motherhood is glamorous and easy. NOT!

I think you make a great point. Have you ever thought of offering a talk to the future baby mamas at school to explain the difficulties and your experiences. You could help inform a few clueless teenagers and help them make some important choices in life!

Because the like to play with there dolls and they think a child is like a doll you get tired of it and throw it anywhere not knowing that is a real human-being that needs love, attention, etc. they think they will look cute I am 21 and TTC bearly yeah I'm scared but Hubby says he is ready :o)

Happy New Year !!!

I guess cause their parents could care less what they do and i guess the teenagers just don't have a life. That is what i think about it. Give me a thumbs down but it is a true shame for a teenager to be pregnant

They dont see the work that is involved they are to busy seeing the fact that it is a baby and its cute and its theirs. They dont think at all that is the problem.
