Our 2nd baby is due in 5 weeks and we still haven't picked a boy's name! The names we have are Jack, Talen, Noah, Kalani or Kaelan. Help me narrow it down...

Jack or Noah are nice names that won't go out of style. Talen looks like a character from a cheesy sci-fi/fantasy novel. Kalani looks like a girl's name to me, and also kind of Hawaiian (which is super if you ARE Hawaiian, but kind of presumptuous if you're not). Kaelan is trying too hard to be creative and he'll hate it by the time he's 10.

It might help us to know your ethnic background. Are Talen, Kalani or Kaelan family names or religious or ethnic names?
I'm for names that aren't hard for kids to pronounce or teachers for that matter, that aren't so unique people will be wondering what's that or wondering about the gender of the child. Jack is a short form for John and Noah seems to be gaining in popularity so you might have alot of Noahs in the class. I'd stay away from the unique names.
