Please, Some people are just silly. Tea is fine to drink and much better than pop. Water is as usual always best but tea is actually pretty good for you. It will probably make you pee more. Don't think you could drink enough to harm you or the baby.

P.S. Isn't everything bad for you on some website somewhere.....

Tea is great, I drank lots of varieties (mostly caffeine free) for my whole pregnancy and never had any problems. They also help with nausea. My fave was "Pregnancy Tea", I can't remember the brand but if your regular grocery store doesn't carry it you can find it at health food stores like Whole Foods. Someone told me chamomile tea was not good for you when you're pregnant, or not good for baby. But I drank it when I was pregnant, with a little honey it was the best thing for morning sickness. You should definately ask your OB before you drink it, since I have heard you shouldn't. But like I said, I did - and never had any problems. Another good one (and completely safe) is Peppermint. It soothes your tummy, helps you relax and relieves stuffy noses.

Try to drink Caffeine Free herbal tea. I didn't like the stuff so I had no more than a few cups a week of regular tea. Just try to limit your caffeine intake overall.

I have been careful with drinking tea during my pregnancy. You should be cautious with herbal teas because some herbs can effect your uterus. For instance, Red Raspberry Leaf tea is good for late pregnancy, but you should not drink too early because it effects the uterus. Just be careful what teas you drink and research them.

yes, but only black tea, you are not supposed to drink green tea. it's not good for the baby. they now say you can have up to 4 glasses of tea, coffee or caffeine beverages a day. the caffeine is good for your blood flow to the baby,

I drank tea quite often actually, it's high in antibodies which are very good for you. If you are very concerned and cannot ease your mind, go ahead and give ur prenatal clinic a call.

Also, Shisi, Chromosome problems occur at conception hon, it is nobody's fault, there is absolutely NOTHING you did to cause that. Please don't feel that way. :(

tea is better than coffe because it dosent have that much cof'een. but as i know its better to have it very less in ur diet , because i had child with cromosom problem and i think it was because of haveing to much coffee. if this is ur first pregnancy please be careful and have veg, dairy and helthy food.
