So most of you told me to change dr's, when do i do this? My ultrasound is for the 28th of january and my ob appointment with this BAD ob is for jan 31st. On the 31st they are also doing the quad screening, so should i stick it out for these things and then change my ob? or should i cancel my 31st appointment with him and try to get a new dr before then? Thanks so much for all the advice :)

I personally would look for another doctor before cancelling that appointment. You might not be able to get into another doctor before then. But don't worry you shouldn't have to do all the tests again. Your old doctor should give your records to the new doctor. Good Luck!

No, you should stick with your doctor until after the next appt. The quad marker (or you called in a quad screening) is VERY important to have done at a certain time frame. Changing in the middle, you might not be garenteed to have that test done on time if their lab conflicts with something, or you don't get an appointment until later. It's fine if you decided to switch, but I would wait. That test is an important test and not worth messing up for that. Good Luck though!

Well, in alberta, here's what I did. I called the ultrasound place myself and changed my appointment, then I asked if I need a requistion from my new doctor. They changed my appointment and said that no, the doctor that ordered the ultrasound would get the results, but to bring the fax number and they will also fax it to my new doctor. It's like blood wrok... as long as the lab has the requisition, it doesn't matter when you go.. and they can send it to the new docotor upon your request

Try making the appointment with the new doctor, FIRST. You may have a wait.....make the appointment for as soon as you can and explain your situation to the new doctor. IN the meantime....you may have to go back to the BAD doctor to get these things done.

I moved in the middle of my pregnancy and I had a long wait to get into the new doctor in the new city....eventhough I was pretty far along!!! With malpractice insurance going up....doctor's dont' see as many pregnant patients as they used to. So sometimes you may have to wait up to two months to get in!!

Try to set up new appointments before canceling your current ones. If you cant get into see a different doctor and you need that testing done them youll still have "bad doctor" to fall back on.

I would stick it out on more appt. The down side to changing doc's is that you may have to wait longer to get those things done. Once you have had you u/s and the quad screening then change doc's.

i'd call and ask to confirm a distinct physician. the launch might want to properly be frequent at this aspect besides the undeniable fact that, I actually have had mine advance in the previous couple of weeks. The swab ingredient might want to were the gang B strep attempt, it truly is only a common attempt they do on anybody on the prompt. in case your pains receives worse, extra usual, or your water breaks, head to the ER. sturdy success and that i wish each little thing is okay.
