My girl friend has been on birth control pills since a met her a couple of months ago. She told me last week that she needs to go stop taking the pill about once every 4 months so she can have a period. She said that she needs to have a period occasionally or she gets cranky and you don't want to be around her. Is this typical?

i am the tender age of 16 and im pregnant again..i already have a 15 month old daughter and i am due with this one on April 7th.2OO7..i basically just want to let every girl under the age of 21 to not give it up!!! i mean i should be having fun but instead in a mom..if a guy tells you to give it up say no!!!!

Sorry to be a little graphic, but I've been getting kinda painful cramps for a few days now (on and off) kind of in the vagina & rectum...
No constipation or anything, and they do eventually go away, but sometimes the rectal cramps are so bad I can't stand up. Happens mostly in the morning when I'm about to get out of bed, but also at other times.
Has anyone else had this? What is it? I don't really think it's anything serious, I mean weird cramps and pains happen all through pregnancy, but is there something I can do to relieve this a little?

I am 30 weeks and recently moved. I have Medicaid and once I moved, had to find a new doctor who accepts Medicaid. Contacted Madicaid and had them send me a provider list for OB/GYN's in this area. I have called the places close to me and I am having a problem with either a) They no longer accept Medicaid insurance, b)The doctor is gone until after the first of the year and won't be accepting new patients till then (if at all), or c) They tell me that they will not accept me because I am "Too far along" nor can they refer me to anyone who can help. One idiot actually had the nerve to say "O-well, just go to the hospital" I can see me sitting in the emergency room for a baby checkup. Ha!! Are they really allowed to deny me because I'm "too far along"?? I even had one place tell me to sign a release form and send it to my old hospital so they could transfer my records-which I did- before they told me they couldn't accept me. Now what do I do?? Anyone?

I am 15 weeks pregnant and a dr. who I ussually don't see prescribed me tylenol with codine for brocitis (Not spelled right). To me it does not seem safe for the baby for me to take it. Has anyone else been prescribed tylenol with codine while pregnant.

After knowing at least one person (I worked with over the summer) having a baby, or two now that I can remember. LOL And after reading in some internet forums, and noting that so many celebs seemed to have babies this year. Who on this forum was pregnant/had a baby this year, or is pregnant and now expecting in a few days?!!!! Or in the next year? Or had a spouse/girlfriend who was?

It seems like a huge baby boom came along this year. Are there any stats out there that have recorded how many babies were born this year?

I went to my doctor on Monday and he took me off the meds to make the contractions stop since they started at 7 months and I've been on bedrest since. I lost the majority of my plug last Friday and since then small amounts have been coming out. My doc said I'm 2 cm dilated and shorter and effaced (didn't tell me exact #). Today since about 3 hours ago I've been having what *I* think are contractions (top of belly pushing down, even down my back pushing down) they come every 5 or 6 mins and make me catch my breath. What should I do should I go to the hospital?? Or wait to see blood or WHAT!!

ok .. my pms symtoms weren't normal and i was in pan. i felt like minor contraction like pain in the pelvis area..it was a slight heeavier than usual and now im disscharging a decent amount of clear fluid all day long. my breat actually look like they exsit now and my back is killing me..i can't get off of my chair..lay down comfy or any thing..i also fell hungry allthe time and sleep more and i felt really weird 2day my legs were all weak nd stuff help?

If 40 weeks is 9 months.. then how come I am 7 months, I'm due March 15 and I have 2 months left? That makes NO sense to me. I know it sounds silly but, 40 weeks is really 10 months, right? This whole carrying a baby thing confuses me. I'm not stupid or anything. I just don't get the estimate that doctors give. Can anyone help with their opinion! :) The estimate a full term pregnancy at 40 weeks.. That's 10 months. Right? Am I calculating it wrong or something. I'm 28 weeks(7 months) today so, yeah.. I was just wondering and wanted someone's opinion! Thanks!
