Yep - no problem flying unless you are very close to your due date in which case some airlines won't let you fly.

I have travelled 2 times. Just last week (I was 20 wks) I asked the Dr and she said it was fine as long as I felt ok. She gave me a printout of my pregnancy history just in case anything happened I would have it with me. The first time I travelled I was like 8weeks pregnant. You should do great just don't travel close to your due date or if your not up to it!
21 weeks with 1st baby!

i asked my dr. that when i was 33 weeks along. he told me that the biggest 2 risks for flying is cabin decompression causing the bag of waters to bust and exposure to radiation. he explained that cabins rarely decompress so that was not a concern for him personally and he did not ever met any one who this affected. he said that when you fly you are higher in the atmosphere and the atmosphere is a protection from the radiation from the sun. therefore you are less protected from radiation. he said that since after the first trimester all the organs are formed, just not full grown that he is more concerned with 1st trimester flight than 3rd trimester flight. something of a few hours he said was fine but something more like 20 hours maybe should wait. hope this helps!

Absolutely! Most airlines will refuse you if you are more than 32 weeks along.
The biggest concern is that you go into labor on the plane which is why it is sometimes poo-pooed.
If it is your first baby, you could fly just about anywhere, go into labor on the flight, and still get to a hospital on time.
Tell your doctor where you are flying and get his/her opinion.
(I flew from Michigan to Las Vegas when I was 34 weeks pregnant with no problems).

Theres nothing to suggest flight is risky, unless you have a history of miscarriage or severe blood clots. no one with blood clots should fly, including those who are pregnant.
Generally airlines wont let you, or discourage you from flying in your third trimester, this is seconded by your doctor who typically doesnt want you further than 200 miles from home incase of early labor.
but yes, flying is safe, unless you particular doctor says otherwise.

It is ok for the majority of the pregnancy. If you are unsure of the specific airline's policies though, give them a call. They may have regulations about women flying that are very late in their pregnancy.

I think its OK just up to 34 weeks. The high altitude can cause labor. Not %100 though, I would ask your doctor.

American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) recommends women don’t fly after their 36th week of pregnancy. Also check individual airline policies.

shouldn't be a problem, unless you are REALLY close to your due date... and then it is just the airlines don't want you on their plane, and goin' into labor.... but I don't think there are any complications with flying and being pregs....
