It's not illegal to be pregnant. If the girl is under a certain age according to your states laws then the male having sex with the underage female is illegal, its called statutory rape. Like in Georgia where I live, it is 16.

Getting pregnant under the age of 18 IS NOT illegal. Having sex under the age of 18 IS illegal. But getting pregnant would be a pretty tricky thing to do without having sex.

no it is not illegal but it is perhaps more than a minor can take on. Having a child is a big responsibility and even some adults have problems with the consequences. I would say wait a few years you have nothing to loose but a whole lot of experience to gain.

Yeah, they are gonna lock your baby up in prison and let you go free.
Seriously its not illegal. Its just sad and its a mistake. Dont do it. You asked about possible consequences? You are ruining your life and the life of your child. You can not give that baby the kind of life it deserves, and being under 18 you have so much more to experience and do in life that you just wont be able to do with a baby in tow. Women can have babies up into their late 30s with little or no problems-why rush it? Getting pregnant is not gonna make you grown up or anything.

Let me tell you my story..... I got pregnant at 17 and I was still in high school. I had no house of my own, no car, no money. Lived with my husband grandmother and after I had my daughter I got pregnant again 6 months later and she kicked us out as soon as my husband found a stable job. So under 18 isnt really a good idea. Did I mentioned that I was on welfare to make ends meet for 3 years till I got up on my feet. Now I have a great job and I been working for 7 years. I have 4 to raise. But if you think your really ready and you are willing to give up your life and commit yourself 100% (sacrafise) to raise another person then go ahead. No is not illegal. Its your choice.

its legal as long as the father is also under the age of 18 if he isnt then he could get into trouble for child molesting but if your pregnant you shouldnt worry about the consequences seek medical help see a doctor right away to make sure you and your baby are healthy

no its not illegal alot of young girls are getting pregnant at 16 and that. but before you think to get pregnant think how you are going to raise the child. are you willing to give up going to parties with friends. having a child is a big responsibility. and if you are not ready to take it . get some protection.

It is not bad, if you are ready for a baby at that age. I don't know too many people who are financially or emotionally ready at that age. Then there is the issue if one parent is above the age of 18. Then by law it is rape.

no it is not here in england or the states i believe it is just illegal to have sex under th ages of 16 uk and 18 us and it is the boy who gets charged with statutory rape hope this helps

um im pregnant and im 17. i dont think its irresponsible. on ly if you dont take responsiblity of your child.things happen and you cant change that... if you have sex with some one over 18 and your atleast 16 with a parents consent its not illegal. but other than that i odnt knw. but not always does the consent work. he could still get charged with stagitory rape. its possible it happened to my cousinshe was under 18 and he wasnt , she had parents consent but he is still serving 10 years in prison
